Setup

  1. Mounting a Laser Level: The AT2 bracket features a 1/4 inch male thread on its top plate. Align the 1/4 inch female thread of your laser level (or other compatible tool) with this male thread and screw it on securely.
  2. Mounting to a Tripod: The base of the AT2 bracket has a 5/8 inch female thread. This allows it to be attached to a standard tripod or other mounting accessories with a 5/8 inch male thread. Screw the bracket onto your tripod until it is stable.
  3. Initial Leveling: Use the built-in horizontal bubble level on the bracket to achieve an approximate level position. Adjust the three legs of the adapter by rotating them to fine-tune the height and angle until the bubble is centered.

Operating Instructions

  1. 360-Degree Rotation: To rotate the mounted laser level 360 degrees, use the large micro rotary knob (labeled 'A' in Figure 3) located on the side of the base. This allows for full horizontal adjustment without repositioning the entire setup.
  2. Horizontal Fine-tuning (X and Y Axes): For precise horizontal positioning, utilize the X rotary knob (labeled 'B' in Figure 3) and the Y rotary knob (labeled 'C' in Figure 3). These knobs allow for micro-adjustments along the respective axes, ideal for aligning laser lines with specific points.
  3. Height Adjustment: The three legs of the adapter can be rotated to adjust the height of the mounted laser level. This allows for minor height corrections, even on slightly uneven surfaces. The adjustment range is approximately 1cm.

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Laser level is unstable or wobbles.
    Solution: Ensure the AT2 bracket is securely screwed onto the tripod (if used) and that the laser level is firmly attached to the bracket's 1/4-inch male thread. Check that the tripod legs are fully extended and stable on a flat surface.
  • Issue: Difficulty rotating or adjusting knobs.
    Solution: Inspect the knobs and their mechanisms for any obstructions or debris. Ensure they are not overtightened. A light cleaning may resolve minor stiffness.
  • Issue: Bubble level not centered.
    Solution: Use the height adjustment feature by rotating the three legs of the adapter. Adjust each leg incrementally until the bubble in the horizontal level is perfectly centered, indicating a level surface.

User Tips

  • Always perform an initial check with the built-in bubble level to ensure your setup is as close to level as possible before making fine adjustments.
  • For extremely precise alignment, use the X and Y micro-adjustment knobs slowly and deliberately.
  • When working on uneven terrain, ensure the tripod (if used) is as stable as possible before mounting the AT2 bracket and laser level.
  • The soft rubber on the knobs provides a good grip; keep them clean to maintain their non-slip properties.
