3.2 General Installation Steps

  1. Prepare CPU: Clean the CPU surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove any old thermal paste.
  2. Install Backplate (if required): For Intel sockets, attach the appropriate backplate to the rear of the motherboard. For AMD, use the existing stock backplate.
  3. Install Standoffs: Screw the correct standoffs into the backplate or motherboard mounting holes.
  4. Apply Thermal Paste: If not pre-applied, apply a small pea-sized amount of thermal paste to the center of your CPU.
  5. Mount Water Block: Carefully place the water block onto the CPU, aligning the mounting holes with the standoffs. Secure it with the provided thumb screws or nuts, tightening in a cross pattern until snug.
  6. Mount Radiator: Install the 360mm radiator to an available fan mounting location in your PC case (e.g., top, front, or side). Ensure adequate airflow.
  7. Install Fans: Attach the three 120mm ARGB fans to the radiator using the included screws. Ensure the fan airflow direction is optimal for your case (typically pushing air through the radiator and out of the case, or pulling air from outside into the case).
  8. Connect Cables:
    • Connect the 3-PIN pump cable to a dedicated AIO_PUMP or CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.
    • Connect the 4-PIN fan cables from each fan to available fan headers on your motherboard or a fan hub.
    • Connect the 5V 3-PIN ARGB cables from the pump and fans to a compatible ARGB header on your motherboard or an ARGB controller. Ensure correct voltage (5V) to avoid damage.
  9. Cable Management: Route all cables neatly to ensure proper airflow and a clean build.

3.3 Important Notes

  • Ensure all connections are secure before powering on your system.
  • Double-check fan orientation for optimal cooling performance.
  • For AMD users, if your motherboard does not have the standard AMD cooler bracket, you will need to acquire one separately as it is required for mounting.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On and Initial Check

After installation, power on your system. Observe the following:

  • Pump Operation: Listen for a faint hum from the pump. Some motherboards may require adjusting the pump header settings in the BIOS to ensure it runs at full speed (2500 RPM).
  • Fan Operation: Verify that all three fans are spinning. Fan speeds are controlled via PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and will adjust based on CPU temperature.
  • ARGB Lighting: The ARGB lighting on the fans and pump head should illuminate.

4.2 ARGB Lighting Control

The Aigo BJ-W360 supports 5V 3-PIN Addressable RGB synchronization. You can control the lighting effects through:

  • Motherboard Software: If your motherboard has a compatible 5V 3-PIN ARGB header, you can use software like ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, or ASRock Polychrome RGB to customize lighting patterns and colors.
  • ARGB Controller: If your motherboard lacks an ARGB header, you may use an external ARGB controller (often included with PC cases or sold separately) to manage lighting effects.

4.3 Fan Speed Control

The fans are PWM controlled, allowing your motherboard to dynamically adjust their speed (800-1800 RPM) based on CPU temperature. This helps balance cooling performance and noise levels. You can typically configure fan curves in your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings or through dedicated software.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your liquid cooler.

  • Dust Cleaning: Periodically clean dust from the radiator fins and fan blades using compressed air. This should be done every 3-6 months, or more frequently in dusty environments.
  • Visual Inspection: Regularly check the water pipes and connections for any signs of leaks, kinks, or damage. The EPDM+IIR material is designed for heat, corrosion, and aging resistance, but visual checks are still important.
  • Pump and Fan Bearings: The water pump uses metallurgical bearings and the fans use hydraulic bearings, both designed for long service life and low noise. No user maintenance is required for the bearings themselves.
  • Coolant: The AIO cooler is a closed-loop system and does not require coolant refills or maintenance. Do not attempt to open the water block or radiator.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Aigo BJ-W360 cooler, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power/Lights:
    • Check all power connections (pump 3-PIN, fan 4-PIN, ARGB 5V 3-PIN) to ensure they are securely plugged into the correct headers.
    • Verify that the ARGB header on your motherboard is enabled in the BIOS/UEFI.
  • Fans Not Spinning:
    • Ensure fan cables are properly connected to motherboard fan headers or a fan hub.
    • Check BIOS/UEFI settings for fan control; ensure fan headers are not set to 'off' or a very low RPM profile.
  • High CPU Temperatures:
    • Confirm the water block is securely mounted to the CPU and making good contact.
    • Verify thermal paste application.
    • Ensure the pump is running (check BIOS/UEFI for pump speed, typically should be at full speed).
    • Check fan orientation and ensure they are providing adequate airflow through the radiator.
    • Clean any dust buildup on the radiator fins.
  • Unusual Noises (Gurgling/Whining):
    • A slight gurgling sound during initial startup is normal as air bubbles settle. This should subside.
    • If persistent, try gently tilting your PC case to help trapped air move to the radiator.
    • A loud whining sound from the pump could indicate an issue; ensure it's receiving stable power.
  • ARGB Lights Not Synchronizing:
    • Ensure the 5V 3-PIN ARGB cable is connected to a compatible ARGB header (not a 12V 4-PIN RGB header). Connecting to a 12V header can damage the LEDs.
    • Update your motherboard's ARGB control software to the latest version.
    • Check for any loose connections in the ARGB chain.

7. User Tips

  • AMD Bracket: Remember that for AMD installations, you will need to use the stock AMD motherboard cooler bracket. If your motherboard does not have one, you will need to source it separately. The cooler includes Intel brackets.
  • AM5 Compatibility: While this cooler supports a wide range of Intel and AMD sockets (AM4, AM3, AM2, FM2, FM1), AM5 is not officially listed as supported. Check with the manufacturer or seller for specific AM5 compatibility and required mounting kits if you plan to use it with an AM5 platform.
  • ARGB Connection: Always ensure you connect the ARGB cable to a 5V 3-PIN header. Connecting it to a 12V 4-PIN RGB header will damage the LEDs.
  • Radiator Placement: For best cooling performance, consider mounting the radiator at the top of your case, or at the front with the tubes at the bottom, to ensure the pump is not the highest point in the loop, which helps prevent air from accumulating in the pump.

8. Warranty and Support

For warranty information, technical support, or replacement parts, please contact the seller or the manufacturer directly. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
