5. Operation
5.1. Basic Measurement
- Immerse the electrodes (pH, EC, Temperature) into the liquid you wish to test.
- Stir gently and wait a few seconds for the readings on the controller's display to stabilize.
- Read the pH, EC, and Temperature values directly from the display.
5.2. Tuya Smart APP Connection & Monitoring
- Download App: Search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in your mobile APP store and download it.
- Register/Login: Create an account or log in to the app.
- Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add your Yieryi WiFi Online PH EC TEMP Meter. Ensure your device is powered on and in pairing mode (refer to the app for specific pairing instructions, usually involving a button press on the device).
- Real-time Monitoring: Once connected, you can view current data, historical data (daily, weekly, monthly), and receive alerts directly on your mobile phone.

5.3. APP Alarm Settings
You can set high or low alarm values for pH and EC. If the measured value exceeds or falls below the set range, the device will trigger an alarm.
- Open the Tuya Smart APP and navigate to the device's interface.
- Locate the alarm settings section.
- Set your desired high and low alarm values for pH and EC.
- Choose your preferred alarm method (e.g., notification).

5.4. PH & EC Range Control (Advanced Feature)
This upgraded feature allows you to set a control range for pH and EC. When the measured value falls within or exceeds this range, the connected power sockets will turn on or off, controlling external equipment.
Specific Operation:
- Access Settings: Long press the SET1 key for 1 second and release. The bottom of the display will show "C-1".
- Navigate Control Modes: Briefly press SET1 repeatedly to cycle through the following modes:
- C-1: Alarm out of the range of high and low ends of PH adjustment.
- C-2: PH adjustment of high and low end of the range of alarms (power activated when pH value is between the set low and high values).
- C-3: Alarm out of the high and low end of the temperature control range.
- C-4: Alarm within the high and low end of the temperature adjustment range (power activated when temperature value is between the set low and high values).
- EC/TDS/SALT/ORP Control: For EC (TDS/SALT/ORP) control, press the SET key (not SET1) for 1 second and release. "C-1" will appear at the bottom of the display. Briefly press SET to switch between:
- C-1: Regulating EC (TDS/SALT/ORP) high and low end out of the range of the alarm.
- C-2: Adjusting the EC (TDS/SALT/ORP) alarm within the high and low end of the range (power activated when EC value is between the set low and high values).
- Confirm Setting: After selecting the desired mode, wait for 5 seconds. The code will disappear, and the setting will be saved.
Note: Be careful not to set high and low alarms simultaneously when using the product, as this may lead to incorrect power activation.
6. Calibration
For accurate readings, regular calibration of the electrodes is essential, especially if the device has not been used for a long time, is used continuously, or requires high precision.
6.1. pH Calibration
The video demonstrates pH calibration using buffer solutions. Typically, pH meters require 2 or 3 point calibration (e.g., pH 4.00, pH 6.86, pH 9.18). Refer to the detailed instructions in the included English User Manual for the precise calibration procedure for your device.
6.2. EC Calibration
EC electrodes also require calibration using standard conductivity solutions. Consult the English User Manual for specific EC calibration steps.
7. Maintenance
- Electrode Cleaning: Always rinse electrodes with distilled water before and after each use.
- Electrode Storage: Store pH electrodes in a suitable storage solution (or pH 4.0 buffer solution if storage solution is unavailable) to prevent drying out. EC and Temperature electrodes can typically be stored dry after rinsing.
- Fuse Replacement: The control socket includes a fuse for protection. If the device stops functioning due to an electrical surge, check and replace the fuse if necessary. Ensure the replacement fuse matches the original specifications.
- General Care: Keep the controller unit clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
8. Troubleshooting
- Q: I cannot see the PH value in the application.
- A: Ensure the PH electrode is correctly connected to the controller and fully immersed in the liquid. Also, verify that the device is properly connected to the Tuya Smart APP and that the app has refreshed the data. If the issue persists, try restarting both the device and the app.
- Q: The device is not turning on/off external equipment based on the set range.
- A: Double-check your range control settings (C-1/C-2/C-3/C-4 modes) on the device. Ensure the external equipment is correctly plugged into the double controller's output sockets and that the power requirements of the external device do not exceed the controller's capacity. Verify that the fuse is intact.
- Q: What is the maximum power of devices to connect to the outlets and the fuse capacity?
- A: The specifications for maximum power and fuse capacity are crucial for safe operation. Please refer to the detailed specifications section in this manual or the physical label on the device for exact values. Exceeding these limits can damage the device and connected equipment.
- Q: The readings are inaccurate.
- A: The electrodes may require calibration. Follow the calibration procedures outlined in the user manual. Ensure electrodes are clean and not damaged. Replace electrodes if they are old or show signs of wear.
