Setup and Installation
1. Door Measurement
Before installation, accurately measure your door's dimensions to ensure compatibility with the smart lock and mortise. Refer to the diagram below for guidance.

- Measure the thickness of the door: Ensure it falls within the accepted range of 35-110mm.
- Measure the length of the guide sheet: This refers to the length of the mortise plate.
- Measure the width of the guide sheet: This refers to the width of the mortise plate.
2. Mortise Selection
The YRHAND D1 Pro Max is compatible with various mortise types. Please choose the correct mortise for your door. The 6068 mortise (22x240mm) is commonly used with the knob version of this lock.

The lock supports universal right/left door directions and can be adjusted freely during installation.
3. App Installation and Initial Setup
Download the Tuya Smart app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to create an account and add your YRHAND D1 Pro Max smart lock. This will enable remote management and access to advanced features.
Operating Instructions
1. Unlocking Methods
The YRHAND D1 Pro Max offers six convenient ways to unlock your door:

- APP Unlock: Use the Tuya app on your smartphone to remotely unlock or lock the door.
- 3D Face Recognition: The lock features a 3D face recognition module for quick and secure access.
- Fingerprint Unlock: Utilize the FPC fingerprint reader for fast biometric access (unlocks in less than 0.5 seconds).
- Password Unlock: Enter your personalized PIN code on the keypad.
- IC Card Unlock: Swipe a registered IC card for convenient access.
- Physical Key Unlock: In emergencies or power outages, use the mechanical key.
2. Virtual Password
Enhance your PIN code security with the virtual password feature. You can add random digits before or after your correct password, and the lock will still unlock, preventing others from guessing your code by observing your finger movements.

3. Temporary Password Generation
Generate temporary passwords via the Tuya app to grant access to family, friends, tenants, or service personnel for a limited time. This feature provides flexible access control without sharing your permanent codes.
4. Automatic Locking and Unlocking
The lock supports automatic locking upon door closure. You can configure the automatic locking time through the app. By default, the automatic locking function is turned off. Note that if you open the door using the back handle, the automatic locking mechanism will not be triggered.

5. Two-way Audio Intercom and Video Calling
The built-in doorbell and camera allow for two-way audio communication with visitors. When a visitor presses the doorbell, you can view the live situation outside the door on the lock's 4.5-inch HD screen or remotely via the Tuya app, and talk to them in real-time.

The interior 4.5-inch high-definition IPS large screen provides a clear view of the outside, making it easy for all users, including the elderly and children, to see visitors.

6. App Remote View and Management
Through the Tuya app, you can remotely view the situation outside your door, capture photos, record video, change voice, adjust volume, and initiate two-way communication. You can also manage a large number of locks from a single phone.

7. Unlock Records and Alerts
The app allows you to query unlock records anytime and anywhere, providing real-time information about who accessed your home and when. You will also receive alert messages for any unusual activity, ensuring you are always aware of your home's security status.

Maintenance
1. Battery Management
The smart lock is powered by a 4200mAh rechargeable lithium battery, offering a standby time of approximately 180 days. Monitor the battery level through the Tuya app to ensure continuous operation.

2. Emergency Power Supply
In case the battery runs out, the lock provides emergency backup solutions:
- Physical Key Unlock: Use the provided mechanical key to unlock the door.
- Type-C Charging Port: Connect a power bank via the hidden Type-C USB charging port to temporarily power the lock and gain access. To reveal the keyhole and USB port, press the button on the inside of the handle.

3. Cleaning
Clean the lock's exterior surfaces, including the screen, keypad, and fingerprint reader, with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding: Check battery level. If low, use the emergency physical key or connect a power bank via the Type-C port.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure your home WiFi network is stable and the lock is within range. Restart the app or the lock if necessary.
- Face recognition failure: Ensure adequate lighting and that your face is clearly visible to the sensor. Clean the camera lens if smudged.
- Automatic locking not working: Verify that the automatic locking feature is enabled in the Tuya app and that the door closes completely.
Warranty and Support
This product comes with a 24-month Manufacturer's Limited Warranty for defective items, excluding items damaged by misuse or improper handling. Defective items must be reported and returned within the warranty period in their original packaging, if possible. - Mortise Compatibility: If you need to order the lock without a mortise, ensure you specify your existing mortise size (e.g., 72 size) to confirm compatibility with the lock mechanism.
