1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your N-36 Series LED Driver. These drivers are designed to provide a stable constant current output for various LED lighting applications, featuring intelligent protection mechanisms. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
2. Important Safety Information
- WARNING: No-load testing of the LED driver is strictly prohibited to prevent electric shock and inaccurate readings. The no-load voltage is a virtual value. Always connect the driver to appropriate LED lamp beads for testing and operation.
- Ensure the input voltage matches the specifications of the LED driver (AC200-240V or AC85-265V depending on model).
- Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician to prevent electrical hazards.
- Do not expose the driver to moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the driver during operation.
- Disconnect power before any installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.

4. Installation
Before installation, ensure the power supply is disconnected. Verify that the LED driver's specifications (input voltage, output voltage, and current) are compatible with your LED lighting fixture.
Wiring Instructions:
- Identify the AC input terminals on the LED driver. These are typically marked for AC200-240V input.
- Connect the AC power supply wires to the input terminals. Ensure correct polarity if indicated, though for AC input, it's generally not polarity-sensitive.
- Identify the DC output terminals. These are typically marked with '+' for the positive pole and '-' for the negative pole.
- Connect the LED lamp bead wires to the DC output terminals, ensuring correct polarity. The positive wire from the LED fixture connects to the '+' terminal, and the negative wire to the '-' terminal.
- Secure all connections to prevent accidental disconnections or short circuits.
- Mount the LED driver in a location that allows for adequate ventilation and is protected from moisture.

5. Operation
Once properly installed and wired, the LED driver operates automatically. Upon applying AC power, the driver will convert it to the specified constant DC current and voltage to power the connected LED lamp beads.
- The driver features intelligent constant current output, ensuring stable illumination for your LEDs.
- Built-in protection mechanisms (overvoltage, overload, overheat, short circuit) will automatically activate to safeguard the driver and connected LEDs in case of abnormal conditions.
6. Maintenance
The N-36 Series LED Driver is designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. However, periodic checks can help ensure optimal performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: Ensure the driver is free from dust and debris, which can impede heat dissipation. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquids.
- Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Environment: Verify that the operating environment remains within the recommended temperature and humidity ranges.
- Inspection: Visually inspect the driver for any signs of physical damage, such as cracked casing or burnt components. If damage is found, discontinue use immediately and replace the unit.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your LED driver, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| LEDs do not light up | No power to driver Incorrect wiring Faulty LED lamp beads Driver protection activated | Check AC power supply Verify input/output wiring polarity Test LEDs with a known good driver Disconnect power, check for shorts/overload, reconnect |
| LEDs flicker or dim | Unstable input voltage Overloaded driver Loose connections | Ensure stable AC input Reduce LED load to match driver wattage Check and secure all wiring connections |
| Driver is hot to touch | Insufficient ventilation Overloaded driver High ambient temperature | Ensure adequate airflow around driver Reduce LED load Relocate driver to a cooler environment |
| Driver makes unusual noise | Internal component failure | Discontinue use immediately and replace the driver. |
8. User Tips
- Always match the driver's output voltage range to the forward voltage requirements of your LED array for optimal performance and longevity.
- When replacing an existing driver, ensure the new driver's specifications (especially current and voltage range) closely match the original to avoid damaging your LEDs.
- Consider using a multimeter to verify input and output voltages during installation, but remember the no-load output voltage is a virtual value.
9. Warranty and Support
This product typically comes with a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. For warranty claims or technical support, please contact your retailer or the manufacturer with your purchase details. Ensure you have your model number (N-36) and proof of purchase available.
