3. Setup

3.1 Physical Installation

The PopBloom S54 light can be installed using either a universal arm kit or a hanging kit, depending on your package. Ensure the light is securely mounted above your aquarium, providing optimal coverage.

  • Arm Mount: Attach the universal arm(s) to the light panel(s) and then secure the arm(s) to the side of your aquarium. Adjust the height and angle for desired light spread.
  • Hanging Kit: Attach the hanging wires to the light panel(s) and suspend the light from a sturdy overhead support. Adjust the cable length to achieve the desired height above the water surface.

3.2 Power Connection

Connect the power supply to the light panel. Ensure the power plug matches your regional electrical standards (EU/BR/US/UK/AU). Plug the power supply into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Remote Control Functions

The PopBloom S54 is controlled via the included remote. The remote allows for easy adjustment of brightness, timing, and light cycles.

  • Preset Brightness: Use the 'Noon', 'ECON', and 'Moon' buttons for quick brightness settings.

  • 0-100% Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to fine-tune the brightness of individual channels (Ch1-Ch4).
  • Simulate Sunrise/Sunset & Moonlight: The light can simulate natural day-night cycles.

4.2 Setting Light Cycles

The remote control allows for programming custom light cycles, including daylight, moonlight, and periods of no light.

Setting Daylight:

  1. At your desired start time (e.g., 9:00), press the 'Sunlight' button or the 'Daylight' timer button (e.g., '10').
  2. The light will run for the set duration (e.g., 10 hours), transitioning through sunset, then to moon (default).

Setting Moonlight:

  1. At your desired moon start time (e.g., 18:00), press the 'Moon' button.
  2. Then, press the timer button for 'Moon' (e.g., '14'). The light will run for the set duration (e.g., 14 hours), transitioning through sunrise, then to noon (default ECON).

Setting No Light at Night:

  1. At your desired turn-off time (e.g., 19:00), press the 'OFF' button.
  2. Then, press the 'time of OFF' button (e.g., '12'). The light will remain off for the set duration (e.g., 12 hours), then light up at the programmed sunrise time (e.g., 07:00).

4.3 Full Spectrum 4 Channels

The S54 features four independent channels, each contributing to the full spectrum output for optimal coral growth and coloration.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

6. Troubleshooting

  • Light not turning on:
    • Check if the power supply is securely connected to both the light and the electrical outlet.
    • Ensure the power outlet is functional.
    • Verify the remote control batteries are not depleted.
  • Remote control not responding:
    • Replace the remote control batteries.
