5. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your BOMGE CT-16 mixer:

  1. Power Connection: Connect the provided AC power adaptor to the mixer's power input and then to a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage (110V or 220V) matches your region's power supply.
  2. Main Outputs: Connect your main speakers or power amplifier to the L MAIN OUT R XLR jacks on the rear panel.
  3. Monitor Outputs: If using control room monitors, connect them to the CTRL ROOM TRS jacks.
  4. Headphones: Plug your headphones into the PHONES jack on the rear panel.
  5. Microphones: Connect microphones to the XLR inputs on the desired channels. If using condenser microphones, activate the +48V Phantom Power switch on the main control section.
  6. Line-Level Devices: Connect instruments (e.g., keyboards, guitars with preamps) or other audio devices to the LINE TRS inputs on the desired channels.
  7. External Effects (Optional): If using an external effects processor, connect the mixer's Effect Send Output Jack to the input of your effects unit, and the output of your effects unit to the Effect Return Input Jack.
  8. USB Playback: Insert a USB drive containing MP3 files into the USB socket on the main control section.

    • MF (Mid-frequency): Controls the presence and body of the sound.

  4. Pan Adjustment: Use the Pan Adjustment knob to position the sound of each channel in the stereo image (left, center, or right).

  1. Main Output Volume: Use the L MAIN OUT R faders to control the overall volume of the main mix.
  2. Headphone Volume: Adjust the Headphone Volume Control for comfortable monitoring.
  3. Control Room Monitor: Adjust the CTRL ROOM level for your control room speakers.

  • MP3 Playback: Insert a USB drive with MP3 files. Use the Function Button and Display to navigate and select tracks. Adjust the MP3 Playback Volume.
