1. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Placement: Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct heat.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the water tank, brewing chamber, and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

  6. First Use Cycle (Cleaning): It is recommended to run a cycle with only water (no coffee) to clean the internal system before brewing your first cup.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Turn On: Flip the main power switch to the ON position. The indicator lights on the control panel may illuminate.
  2. Add Coffee: Open the lid of the brewing chamber. Using the provided measuring spoon, add the desired amount of finely ground Turkish coffee into the brewing chamber. For a single cup, typically one level spoon is sufficient.

  3. Add Water: Pour the appropriate amount of water into the brewing chamber, corresponding to the number of cups you wish to brew. Do not exceed the maximum fill line for coffee and water combined.
  4. Select Cup Size: Press the desired cup size button on the control panel. The machine supports a twin brewing cycle, allowing you to prepare multiple cups efficiently.
  5. Start Brewing: The machine will begin the brewing process. The sound alarm system will activate once the coffee is ready. The overflow prevention system ensures safe operation.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the cups from the drip tray area. The coffee will be hot.
  7. Turn Off: After use, flip the main power switch to the OFF position and unplug the machine.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine. The RAF R.111 is designed for easy cleaning.

  1. Unplug: Always ensure the machine is unplugged and cooled down before cleaning.
  2. Empty Drip Tray: The drip tray is removable for easy emptying and cleaning.

  4. Clean Water Tank: The water tank can be removed and cleaned with warm, soapy water. Rinse well to remove any soap residue.
  5. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
  6. Descaling: Depending on water hardness, descaling may be required periodically. Consult a qualified technician or refer to general coffee machine descaling guidelines if needed.
