4. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the AL-130 detector and all accessories from its packaging.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input socket on the rear of the device (refer to Figure 3.2). Plug the other end into a suitable AC power outlet (AC100V-240V, 50/60Hz).
- Power On: Press the 'On and off' button to power on the device. The display screen will illuminate.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Selecting Currency
- After powering on, the device will typically default to a currency (e.g., USD or EUR).
- Press the 'CUR/DIR' button to toggle between USD and EUR modes. The selected currency will be indicated on the display screen.
5.2. Verifying and Counting Banknotes
The AL-130 is designed to process banknotes one by one.
- Ensure the correct currency mode (USD or EUR) is selected.
- Gently insert a banknote into the feeding slot, ensuring it is flat and properly aligned. The device will automatically pull the note through.
- The display will show the quantity of notes processed and the total accumulated value.
- Continue inserting banknotes one by one. The device will add to the total count and value.
- If a counterfeit note is detected, the machine will typically alert with an error message or sound, and the note may be rejected. Remove the suspicious note and re-insert it if you believe it was a false positive, or set it aside for further inspection.
5.3. Clearing the Count and Viewing Report
- To clear the current count and total amount, press the 'REP/CLR' button. The display will reset to zero.
- Pressing 'REP/CLR' multiple times may cycle through different report views or clear the count, depending on the device's state.

6. User Tips
- Battery Operation: While the primary power source is AC, some models may support battery operation for portability. Check your device for a battery compartment if you require mobile use.
- Note Condition: For best results, ensure banknotes are flat, unfolded, and free from excessive creases or tears before feeding them into the detector.
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the note path free of dust and debris to maintain accurate detection and smooth operation.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the banknote path and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, store the device in a dry, dust-free environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Software Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website or contact support for information on available firmware updates via the USB port, which may improve detection accuracy or add new features.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Device Does Not Power On
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and a working power outlet.
- Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
8.2. Banknotes Are Not Accepted or Jam
- Ensure banknotes are inserted one by one, flat, and properly aligned.
- Check for any foreign objects or debris in the banknote path and remove them carefully.
- Verify that the correct currency mode (USD or EUR) is selected for the notes being inserted.
8.3. Incorrect Count or Detection Errors
- Clean the sensors and banknote path as described in the Maintenance section.
- Ensure banknotes are in good condition (not excessively worn, torn, or folded).
- If persistent errors occur, contact customer support.
