7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Clean the appliance only with a dry and soft cloth. Do not use paint thinners, solvents, cleaning fluids, or chemical-impregnated wiping cloths.

7.2. Non-Use Periods

If the unit will not be used for an extended period, unplug the AC power adapter from the outlet.

7.3. Handling Caution

  • Avoid inserting or dropping foreign objects into any gaps or openings on the device.
  • Do not rest your weight on the device or place heavy objects on it. Avoid using excessive force on buttons, switches, or connectors.
  • Avoid setting all equalizer and level knobs to their maximum, as this may cause feedback and damage speakers.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LOMEHO AM-AX6P mixer, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps.

8.1. No Sound or Low Volume

  • Ensure all cables are securely connected.
  • Check that the mixer and all connected devices are powered on.
  • Verify that [GAIN], [LEVEL], and [STEREO LEVEL] knobs are not set to minimum.
  • If the [PEAK] LED does not light even with the [GAIN] knob turned fully right, increase the volume of the sound source.
  • If the [PAD] switch is ON, try turning it OFF.
  • Check the volume of connected speakers or power amplifiers.

8.2. Distortion / PEAK LED Flashing Continuously

  • Turn the [GAIN] knob to the left to lower the input volume until the [PEAK] LED flashes only briefly or not at all.
  • If connecting a high-output device, turn ON the [PAD] switch for the corresponding channel.
  • Ensure that the equalizer knobs are not set to extreme levels.
PEAK Light Indicator
Figure 8.2.1: PEAK light indicates signal distortion; turn off for normal signal.

8.3. Phantom Power Issues

  • Ensure the [+48V] switch is ON for condenser microphones and OFF for dynamic microphones.
  • Phantom power is only supplied to XLR sockets, not 1/4" (6.3mm) sockets.
  • Do not connect non-48V condenser microphones (e.g., 3.5mm plug computer microphones) to the mixer.

8.4. USB Playback/Recording Issues

  • Ensure the USB drive is formatted to FAT32. NTFS format is not supported.
  • Verify that there is at least one compatible audio file (MP3, FLAC, WAV, WMA) on the U-Disk for playback.
  • The USB port is not for USB microphones.

8.5. Bluetooth Connection Issues

  • Ensure the MP3/ST3-4 button is in the UP position.
  • Check that "BLUE" is displayed on the mixer's digital audio player.
  • Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and it is searching for the mixer (named "Bluetooth").

8.6. UHF Wireless Microphone Crosstalk

If multiple UHF wireless microphone sets are used in the same environment and crosstalk occurs, follow these steps to re-match:

  1. Adjust the transmitter and receiver to the shutdown state simultaneously.
  2. Transmitter: Press the power switch and frequency hopping button simultaneously for about 4 seconds until the display enters a fast scintillation state.
  3. Receiver: Turn on the power supply of the receiver; the RF indicator will flash four times.
  4. Transmitter: Briefly press the FH button to exit the pairing.

9. User Tips

  • Gain Staging: Always set your gain knobs carefully. The goal is to get a strong signal without clipping (PEAK LED flashing constantly). A good starting point is to set the gain so the PEAK LED flashes only occasionally on the loudest parts.
  • Power On/Off Sequence: To prevent loud pops and potential damage to your speakers, always power on your mixer and connected devices from the source (microphones, instruments) to the output (speakers/amplifiers). Reverse this sequence when powering off.
  • USB Drive Compatibility: Remember to format your USB drives to FAT32 for optimal compatibility with the mixer's USB functions.
  • Effect Experimentation: Don't hesitate to experiment with the 99 DSP effects to find the perfect sound for your vocals or instruments.

10. Warranty and Support

For service or support, please contact your dealer or qualified service personnel. Do not attempt to service the appliance beyond what is described in this manual.
