3.2. Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided car charger to the dash camera.
  2. Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
  3. If using the optional Hardwire Kit for 24H Parking Monitoring, follow the kit's specific installation instructions to connect it to your vehicle's power system. Ensure your vehicle has a 12V power supply; a 24V supply will damage the motherboard unless a 24V to 12V converter is used.

3.3. GPS Module Connection

The GPS module is integrated into the original power charger. When connecting the GPS module for the first time, allow some time for it to acquire a signal. The GPS icon on the screen will change from red to green once positioning is successful.

3.4. Memory Card Insertion

Insert a Class 10 Micro SD Card (16GB to 256GB, not included) into the designated slot on the dash camera. Ensure it is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Operation

The dash camera will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts. It will power off when the vehicle is turned off.

4.2. Wi-Fi App Control

The dash camera features built-in Wi-Fi for easy connection to a mobile application (e.g., FH Cam or V21Cam). This allows you to view live footage, download videos and photos, and share them directly from your smartphone.

  1. Download the compatible app (e.g., FH Cam or V21Cam) from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Turn on the dash camera.
  3. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dash camera's Wi-Fi network (SSID usually starts with 'OK302CAM' or similar). The default password is typically '12345678'.
  4. Open the app and connect to the dash camera. You can now control the camera and access recordings.

4.5. Advanced Features

  • Loop Recording: When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked video files will be overwritten by new recordings. Videos protected by the G-Sensor or Parking Monitor will not be overwritten.
  • G-Sensor: Detects sudden impacts or movements. When triggered, it automatically records and locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten.
  • Parking Monitor: (Requires optional Hardwire Kit) In parking mode, the dash camera will automatically record if an impact is detected. The hardwire kit provides low voltage protection, cutting off power if the car battery voltage drops below 11.6V to ensure normal car startup. A 32GB memory card can save approximately 4 days of video content in parking monitoring mode.
  • WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Dynamic Light Processing: Optimizes video quality in varying light conditions by controlling local exposure, reducing glare and dimming.
  • HD Night Vision: Enhanced night vision capabilities with increased light transmittance and reduced reflectivity for clearer recordings in low-light conditions.

5. Maintenance

  • Memory Card: Regularly format your Micro SD card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Always use a high-quality Class 10 card.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and the device body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Power Supply: Always use the original power charger provided with the device to ensure proper voltage and prevent damage.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or app periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash camera has the latest features and bug fixes.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Camera Not Turning On: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash camera and the car's 12V power outlet. Verify the car's power outlet is functioning.
  • Recording Issues (Freezing, Skipping): This is often caused by a low-quality or slow Micro SD card. Ensure you are using a Class 10 or higher speed card. Try formatting the card or replacing it.
  • Parking Mode Not Working: The 24H Parking Monitor function requires the optional Hardwire Kit. Ensure the Hardwire Kit is correctly installed and connected to a constant power source. Verify your car's power supply is 12V; a 24V supply requires a 24V to 12V converter.
  • GPS Not Tracking: Ensure the GPS module is properly connected and has a clear view of the sky. Allow a few minutes for the GPS to acquire a signal (icon changes from red to green).
  • Wi-Fi Connection Problems: Ensure the dash camera's Wi-Fi is enabled. Double-check the Wi-Fi password when connecting via your smartphone. Try restarting both the dash camera and your phone.
  • Poor Image Quality: Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from smudges or dirt. Check that the protective film has been removed from the lens.
