3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unboxing and Components

3.2 Mounting Options

The device offers two primary mounting options:

  1. Handlebar Mounting: Secure the bracket to your motorcycle's handlebars.
  2. Rearview Mirror Mounting: Attach the bracket to the rearview mirror stem.

3.3 Wiring Diagram

Proper wiring is crucial for the device's functionality, especially for the DVR cameras and power supply. Refer to the diagram below:

  • Power Wire (Red): Connect to the motorcycle battery's positive terminal.
  • Ground Wire (Green): Connect to the motorcycle battery's negative terminal.
  • ACC Power Supply: Connect to an ACC (Accessory) power source on your motorcycle.
  • Front View Camera: Connect to the designated input on the CarPlay screen.
  • Rear View Camera: Connect to the designated input on the CarPlay screen.

Important: A 12V voltage is required to start the device. If powered by a Type-C port, the device may restart due to insufficient voltage.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Once correctly wired, the device should power on with your motorcycle's ignition. To manually power off, press and hold the power button.

4.2 Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto

To use Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto:

  1. Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
  2. On the Smart Display, navigate to the CarPlay or Android Auto option.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your phone via Bluetooth. The device name will typically be 'CAR-BT_XXXX'.
  4. Once Bluetooth is paired, the device will establish a Wi-Fi connection for CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.

4.3 Dual Bluetooth Connectivity

The device supports dual Bluetooth connections, allowing you to connect your phone for CarPlay/Android Auto and a Bluetooth helmet for audio simultaneously.

4.4 DVR Functions (if applicable)

For models with AHD Dual Lens cameras:

  • Recording: The device automatically records front and rear footage when powered on.
  • Loop Recording: Older files are overwritten by new ones when the Micro SD card is full.
  • G-Sensor: In case of sudden impact or vibration, the G-sensor will automatically lock the current video file to prevent it from being overwritten.
  • Playback: Access recorded videos through the DVR menu on the display.

4.5 Navigation

6. Troubleshooting

Device does not power on:
Check all power connections. Ensure the 12V power supply is correctly connected to the motorcycle battery and ACC. Avoid using Type-C for primary power as it may be insufficient.
CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting:
Ensure Bluetooth is paired first, then Wi-Fi will connect automatically. Check your phone's settings for any connection issues. Restart both the device and your phone.
No camera display:
Verify that the AHD cameras are securely connected to the display unit. Check the DVR settings on the device.
Screen unresponsive:
Perform a touch calibration in the system settings. If the issue persists, try a factory reset.
