4.2. SC790 Wiring Instructions (PWM & ARGB Hub)
The SC790 hub allows for centralized control of up to six PWM fans and six 3-pin 5V ARGB devices.
- Connect SATA Power: Connect the SATA power cable from your PC's power supply unit (PSU) to the "SATA POWER" port on the SC790 hub. This provides stable and continuous power to all connected devices.
- Connect to Motherboard ARGB Header: Connect the included 3-pin ARGB sync cable from the "MB ARGB" port on the SC790 hub to an available 3-pin 5V Addressable RGB header on your motherboard. This enables software control and synchronization of lighting effects.
- Connect to Motherboard PWM Header: Connect the included 4-pin PWM sync cable from the "MB PWM" port on the SC790 hub to an available 4-pin PWM fan header on your motherboard (e.g., CPU_FAN, SYS_FAN). This allows your motherboard to control the speed of connected fans.
- Connect Fans: Connect your 4-pin PWM fans to the "PWM" ports (1-6) on the SC790 hub.
- Connect ARGB Devices: Connect your 3-pin 5V ARGB devices (e.g., LED strips, ARGB fans) to the "ARGB" ports (1-6) on the SC790 hub.

4.3. SC700 Wiring Instructions (Addressable RGB Hub)
The SC700 hub provides twelve 3-pin 5V ARGB ports for expanding your lighting setup.
- Connect SATA Power: Connect the SATA power cable from your PC's power supply unit (PSU) to the "SATA POWER" port on the SC700 hub. This ensures sufficient power for all connected ARGB devices.
- Connect to Motherboard ARGB Header: Connect the included 3-pin ARGB sync cable from the "MB ARGB" port on the SC700 hub to an available 3-pin 5V Addressable RGB header on your motherboard. This enables software control and synchronization of lighting effects.
- Connect ARGB Devices: Connect your 3-pin 5V ARGB devices (e.g., LED strips, ARGB fans) to the "ARGB" ports (1-12) on the SC700 hub.

5. Operation
Once installed and connected, the DeepCool SC790 and SC700 hubs operate by relaying control signals from your motherboard. There are no physical buttons or dedicated software for the hubs themselves; control is managed through your motherboard's software.
- Fan Speed Control (SC790 only): Use your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings or dedicated fan control software (e.g., ASUS Fan Xpert, Gigabyte SIV, MSI Dragon Center) to adjust the PWM fan speeds connected to the SC790 hub.
- ARGB Lighting Control: Utilize your motherboard's Addressable RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, ASRock Polychrome Sync) to customize lighting effects, colors, and synchronization for all ARGB devices connected to either the SC790 or SC700 hub.

6. Maintenance
The DeepCool SC790 and SC700 hubs require minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Periodically, gently wipe the exterior of the hub with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Cable Management: Ensure cables connected to the hub are neatly routed and not under excessive tension to prevent damage to the connectors or the hub itself.
7. Troubleshooting
- Q: ARGB lighting is not working or displaying incorrect colors.
- A:
- Check Compatibility: Ensure all connected ARGB devices are 5V 3-pin Addressable RGB. This hub is NOT compatible with 12V 4-pin RGB devices.
- Check Connections: Verify that the SATA power cable is securely connected to the hub and the PSU. Ensure the 3-pin ARGB sync cable is correctly connected to both the hub and a 3-pin 5V ARGB header on your motherboard.
- Motherboard Software: Confirm that your motherboard's ARGB software is installed and configured correctly. Try restarting the software or your PC.
- Power Supply: Ensure your PSU provides sufficient power to all connected devices.
- Q: Fans connected to the SC790 are not spinning or not controllable.
- A:
- Check Connections: Verify that the SATA power cable is securely connected to the hub and the PSU. Ensure the 4-pin PWM sync cable is correctly connected to both the hub and a 4-pin PWM fan header on your motherboard.
- Fan Compatibility: Ensure your fans are 4-pin PWM fans.
- Motherboard BIOS/Software: Check your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings or fan control software to ensure the fan header is enabled and configured for PWM control.
- Q: The hub is not detected by the system.
- A: The hub itself is a passive device that relays signals. It does not require driver installation and will not be "detected" as a separate device by your operating system. Its functionality is integrated through the motherboard's fan and ARGB headers.
