4. Installation
The D52-2066 meter is designed for DIN rail installation. Ensure all power is disconnected before proceeding with installation.
4.1 Wiring Instructions
The meter comes in two variants: with a Built-in Current Transformer (CT) or requiring an External Current Transformer (CT). Ensure you have the correct variant for your application.
4.1.1 Built-in CT Wiring
For models with a built-in CT, pass the live wire (AC Input) through the hole on the right side of the meter. Connect the input AC voltage to terminals 1 and 2, and the load to terminals 3 and 4 as shown in the diagram.
4.1.2 External CT Wiring
For models requiring an external CT, connect the external current transformer to the meter. Pass the live wire (AC Input) through the external CT. Connect the input AC voltage to terminals 1 and 2, and the load to terminals 3 and 4 as shown in the diagram.
4.2 Post-Installation Check
After power is connected, check whether the indicator light illuminates. Electricity consumption data can be read after normal operation begins.
5. Operation
5.1 Local Display
The D52-2066 features a high-definition color LCD screen that displays all measured parameters clearly. The display shows AC Current, Power Factor, Frequency, AC Voltage, Active Power, and Electric Energy (KWH).
5.2 WiFi Connection and App Monitoring
The meter can be connected to your home WiFi network for remote monitoring via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
- Download and install the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your mobile phone.
- Ensure the meter is powered on.
- Long press the 'WiFi' button on the meter for 5 seconds. The WiFi signal indicator will flash quickly, indicating it has entered pairing state.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add the device and connect it to your WiFi network.
Once connected, you can view real-time data (Voltage, Current, Power, KWH, Power Factor, Frequency) and access detailed daily, monthly, and yearly electricity consumption statistics from anywhere.
5.3 Power Failure Memory Function
The meter is equipped with a power failure memory function. The value of electrical energy (KWH) will not be lost even if an accidental power failure occurs, ensuring continuous data logging.
6. Maintenance
The TAXNELE D52-2066 meter requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and free from dust. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or direct moisture. Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself, as this may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
7. Troubleshooting
- Indicator light does not illuminate: Check whether the power supply is normal and properly connected.
- Inaccurate readings: Calibration may be required. If readings appear consistently incorrect, contact support.
- Abnormal noise: Immediately discontinue use and contact maintenance service.
- WiFi connection issues: If the WiFi connection fails or disconnects after some time, try resetting the meter's WiFi by long-pressing the WiFi button until it enters pairing mode again, then re-add it through the app. Ensure your WiFi network is stable and within range.
8. User Tips
- For optimal performance and accurate readings, ensure the current transformer (CT) is correctly installed according to the wiring diagrams for your specific model (Built-in or External CT).
- Regularly check the app for firmware updates to ensure the best performance and security for your device.
- If experiencing persistent WiFi connectivity problems, ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz network, as many smart home devices do not support 5GHz.
9. Warranty and Support
For after-sales service, please contact the seller or manufacturer directly. Refer to the official product documentation for specific warranty terms and conditions. A user manual in PDF format is available for download from the product page or by contacting support.
