Designed for enhanced home security and ease of use, this manual will guide you through the installation, setup, and operation of your new smart lock.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure all components are handled carefully during installation to prevent damage.
  • Do not expose the lock to extreme temperatures or direct water spray.
  • Use only the specified power supply and charging methods.
  • Keep mechanical keys in a safe place outside your home.
  • Regularly check the battery level and replace/recharge as needed to avoid lockouts.
  • For optimal security, change the default administrator password immediately after installation.

5. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your door is compatible with the lock's dimensions and mortise type. The lock is suitable for various door types including wooden, stainless steel, bronze, double doors, and old-fashioned security doors. It supports both left and right-opening doors.

5.2 Mortise Selection

The lock supports a 6068 mortise. Ensure the reserved lock core length is 20-25mm.

5.3 Initial Setup (Administrator Password)

  1. Press `* # 123456 #` to access the settings menu.
  2. Enter your desired 6-digit administrator password, followed by `#`.
  3. Re-enter the 6-digit password and press `#` to confirm.
  4. Administrator settings are now complete.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Unlocking Methods

The WISHome Smart Door Lock offers multiple ways to unlock your door:

6.1.1 3D Face Recognition Unlocking

  • Walk to the front of the door; the smart lock will automatically sense and recognize your face.
  • The door will unlock automatically, providing a hands-free experience.
  • The system covers a height range of 100cm to 200cm, making it suitable for children and adults.
  • Features include a 0.6s identification speed and a 0.001% error rate.
  • Works effectively even with makeup, hats, eyeglasses, and in day/night conditions thanks to infrared induction scanning.

6.1.2 Mobile App Unlocking (WisHome App)

  • Download the "WisHome" app on your smartphone.
  • Press the `*` key on the smart lock to return to the main menu, then enter wireless settings.
  • Press `1` to enter wireless pairing mode. A QR code will appear on the back screen of the smart lock.
  • Open the WisHome app on your phone and scan the QR code to complete the addition.
  • Note: The app only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi networks. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4G wireless network during pairing.
  • When someone rings the doorbell, your phone will receive a prompt to open the door. You can view the situation outside the door and remotely unlock it via the app.

6.1.3 Fingerprint Unlocking

  • Place your registered finger on the fingerprint reader.
  • The lock will verify your fingerprint. A green light and voice prompt indicate successful verification, unlocking the door.
  • The AI Smart Fingerprint Algorithm ensures rapid identification (<1s) with an error rate of <0.001%.

6.1.4 Password Unlocking

  • Enter your registered 6-digit password on the touch keypad, followed by `#`.
  • The lock supports virtual bit cryptography, allowing you to enter random numbers before or after your actual password to prevent peeping. This supports up to 32-bit passwords.

6.1.5 IC Card Unlocking

  • Place your registered IC card on the card swiping area of the lock.
  • The lock will verify the card and unlock.
  • The IC cards are encrypted to prevent copying.

6.1.6 Mechanical Key Unlocking

  • In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical key.
  • Insert the key into the hidden keyhole and turn to unlock the door manually.

6.2 Adding Users (Face, Fingerprint, Password, IC Card)

After setting the administrator password, you can add other users and unlocking methods:

6.2.1 Add Face Unlock

  1. Press the `*` key to return to the administrator page.
  2. Press `1` to select "Add facial recognition to unlock".
  3. Follow the voice prompts to move your head up, down, left, and right to successfully add your face.

6.2.2 Add Fingerprint Unlock

  1. Press the `*` key to return to the administrator page.
  2. Press `2` to add a fingerprint.
  3. Follow the prompts to lift and place your finger eight times. The recording is successful when confirmed by voice prompt.

6.2.3 Add Password

  1. Press the `*` key to return to the administrator page.
  2. Press `3` to add a password.
  3. Enter a 6-digit password and press the `#` sign.
  4. Enter the password again to complete the addition.

6.2.4 Add IC Card

  1. Press the `*` key to return to the administrator page.
  2. Press `4` to add an IC card.
  3. Place the IC card in the card swiping area. The addition is complete when confirmed by voice prompt.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Management

  • The smart lock is powered by a 3200mAh built-in rechargeable lithium battery.
  • A full charge can last approximately 3 months.
  • The lock provides a low battery reminder. Recharge the battery promptly when notified.
  • For emergency charging, a 5V emergency power supply can be connected via the USB port.
  • If you have an optional backup battery, one can be installed and used while the other is removed for charging.

7.2 Cleaning and Care

  • Clean the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the fingerprint sensor and camera lenses clean for optimal performance.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Multiple Alarm System

The smart lock is equipped with several alarm features to enhance security:

  • Anti-theft / Anti-violent Disassembly Alarm: If the door lock is pried open or violently disassembled, it will emit a loud noise to deter intruders and notify you via the mobile app.
  • Password Error Alarm: If an incorrect password is entered 5 times consecutively, the lock will automatically lock and trigger an alarm.
  • Low Power Alarm: Notifies you when the battery is low, prompting you to recharge.

8.2 Common Issues

  • Lock not responding: Check battery level. If low, charge or use mechanical key.
  • Fingerprint/Face recognition failure: Ensure sensor/camera is clean and your registered data is correctly captured. Try re-registering if issues persist.
  • App connectivity issues: Verify your phone is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network. 5G networks are not supported for initial pairing. Check router settings.
  • Doorbell not notifying phone: Ensure the lock is connected to Wi-Fi and the app has necessary permissions on your phone.

9. User Tips

  • Network Compatibility: Remember that the WISHome app and smart lock connectivity only support 2.4G Wi-Fi networks. If you have a dual-band router, ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4G band during setup.
  • Door Compatibility: Before purchasing or installing, carefully measure your door's thickness and check the mortise lock size requirements to ensure a proper fit.
  • Remote Access: Utilize the remote monitoring and unlocking features via the WisHome app to manage access for visitors or deliveries even when you're not home.
  • Backup Power: Always keep your mechanical keys in a secure, accessible location outside your home as a backup. Consider having a charged backup battery ready.
