9. Troubleshooting
Common Problems & Solutions
- Poor FM transmitter signal and noise interference:
Solution: Adjust the FM frequency points on both the device and your car radio simultaneously. Experiment with different frequencies, including those at the high and low ends of the FM band, to find a clear channel. - Wireless Carplay often disconnects or does not work:
Solution: When using Carplay, ensure your mobile phone is not connected to other wireless networks (e.g., other Wi-Fi networks) to prevent disconnections. - Bracket is not firm, suction cup adhesion is insufficient, or unstable at high temperatures:
Solution: Before attaching, ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry. Press firmly to remove any air bubbles and ensure stable adhesion. - Bluetooth is out of sync, caller cannot hear sound, or there is noise during calls:
Solution: Verify that the microphone position is not blocked by any foreign objects. - Local speaker has no sound or cannot receive local sound:
Solution: If the FM TX switch is turned ON, the local speaker will be muted. Turn OFF the FM TX switch if you want sound from the local speaker. If using FM TX, ensure the frequency point on the device matches your car radio, and adjust the car radio's volume appropriately.
10. User Tips
- Dual TF Card Slots (PD5F Model): For models like the PD5F, one TF card slot is dedicated to inputting music/video, while the other is used for storing driving records.
- Microphone and AUX Port Functionality: Users often prioritize clear microphone performance for phone calls and functional AUX ports for external audio devices like iPods. Ensure these features are tested upon setup.
- Screen Orientation: Some users inquire about mounting the screen in reverse and rotating the display. Check device settings or consult support for specific model capabilities regarding screen rotation.
- Connecting to Car Speakers: The device can connect to car speakers via Bluetooth, offering an alternative to FM transmission or AUX cable for audio output.
