3. Setup and Charging

Charging the Jump Starter

Before first use, fully charge the Utrai Jstar 4. It is recommended to recharge the device every 3-6 months to maintain battery health, even if not in use.

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the Type-C Input port (5V 2A) on the jump starter.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a suitable USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
  3. The LCD screen will display the charging status and battery percentage.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charging cable.

Jump Starting a Vehicle

The Utrai Jstar 4 is suitable for 12V vehicles with up to 8.0L gasoline and 7.0L diesel engines, including cars, sedans, boats, and motorbikes.

  1. Insert the plug: Connect the smart jumper cable plug firmly into the jump starter's output port.
  2. Connect the clamps: Attach the red (+) clamp to the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery and the black (-) clamp to the negative terminal. Ensure a secure connection.

  4. Remove clamps: Once the vehicle starts, immediately remove the smart clamps from the car battery, then disconnect the plug from the jump starter.

Using the LED Light

The built-in LED light has three modes:

  • Normal: For general illumination.
  • SOS: Emits an SOS signal for emergency situations.
