4. Setup & Installation
4.1. Wiring Instructions
Proper wiring is crucial for the device's functionality. Follow these steps carefully:
- Connect the Type-C 3A cable to your JMCQ Car DVR device.
- Plug the other end of the cable into your car's cigarette lighter interface.

4.2. Camera Installation (Optional Rear Camera)
If your model includes a rear camera, follow these steps for installation:
- Locate a suitable drilling hole for the camera in the license plate attachment area. Mark the position with a pen and drill the appropriate size screw hole.
- Fix the camera securely to the rear of the car using screws.
- Connect the red thin wire (reversing trigger wire) from the rear camera to the positive pole of the car's reversing light. This enables automatic display of the rear view when reversing.
- Connect the camera extension cable to the main monitor unit.
4.3. Mounting the Device
The JMCQ Car DVR can be mounted on your dashboard using the provided monitor base and bracket fixing sticker. The bracket allows for rotation to adjust the screen angle.

4.4. Parking Lines Calibration
To ensure accurate reversing assistance, calibrate the parking lines:
- Park your car in the middle of a parking space.
- Access the settings menu and click on the 'Reverse Line Calibration' option.
- Manually drag the left parking assist line on the screen to align horizontally with the parking line on the ground.
- Repeat for the right parking assist line.
- Click 'Confirm' to save the calibration settings.

5.1. Interface Overview

5.2. Wireless CarPlay
To use Wireless CarPlay with your iPhone:
- On the Car DVR, click the 'CarPlay' button.
- On your iPhone, enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Go to iPhone Settings > Bluetooth, find the device name (e.g., TF790BT_24461ace) and connect.
- A prompt will appear on your iPhone to 'Use CarPlay with SmartScreen'. Select 'Use CarPlay'.
- The CarPlay interface will now be displayed on the Car DVR screen.

5.3. Wireless Android Auto
To use Wireless Android Auto with your Android phone:
- On the Car DVR, click the 'Android Auto' button.
- On your Android phone, enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Go to Android Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device. Find the device name (e.g., TF790BT_24461ace) and connect.
- Confirm the pairing code on both devices.
- The Android Auto interface will now be displayed on the Car DVR screen.

5.4. AirPlay / Miracast (Wireless Mirroring)
This feature allows you to mirror your phone screen to the Car DVR. No app download is needed.
- On the Car DVR, select 'AirPlay' for iPhone or 'Miracast' for Android.
- Connect your phone to the device's Wi-Fi network (e.g., TF790BT_24461ace, password 12345678).
- For iPhone: Open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, and select 'zj-airplay'.
- For Android: Open Control Center, tap Smart View/Cast, and select 'Smartscreen'.
- The phone screen will be mirrored to the Car DVR.

5.5. BT Music
To play music via Bluetooth:
- On your phone, enable Bluetooth.
- On the Car DVR, select the 'BT Music' option.
- Click 'BT Manage' to connect your phone via Bluetooth.
- Once connected, you can play music from your phone through the Car DVR.
The interface includes buttons for Last Track, Play/Pause, and Next Track. Some mobile music player apps may not support displaying lyrics.
5.6. WIFI Video
To view recorded videos via Wi-Fi:
- Scan the WeChat code or use other methods to download the companion APP.
- After installing and opening the APP, exit it and then reopen.
- On your phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and search for the device's Wi-Fi network (e.g., 'T86-.......').
- Enter the password '12345678' to connect.
- Open the APP, and you can view the recorder's video interface.
5.7. Car Record (DVR Functions)
The Car DVR records footage from both front and rear cameras (if applicable).

- Start/Stop Recording: Click the record button to start, click again to stop. A small red dot will flash when recording.
- Lock Video: Locks the current recording to prevent overwriting.
- Take Photo: Captures a still image.

- Recording Sound: Toggles recording audio on/off.
- Camera Distribution: Switches the display of camera views (e.g., front only, rear only, split screen).
5.8. Playback Video
To view recorded videos or photos:
- Click the 'Playback' button on the main interface.
- The playback interface will show a list of recorded files.
- Select a file from the list to play it.
- Icons on the interface allow you to filter by looped front video, looped rear video, locked videos, or photos.
- You can also delete selected files.
5.9. Audio Modes

- AUX: Connect the provided AUX cable to the device and your car's AUX input jack for audio output through your car's speakers. Adjust volume via your car's system.
- FM Transmitter: This allows wireless audio transmission to your car's FM radio. Match the device's FM frequency with your car radio's frequency to synchronize audio. Note: When FM Transmit is active, the device's built-in speaker will be muted.

- Screen mirroring not working for certain apps: Some applications on your phone may not support screen mirroring due to content protection or compatibility issues.
