6.3 Anti-Loss Alarm (Out of Range Alert)

To prevent losing items, the tracker features an automatic alarm:

  • When your phone and the Smart Tracker exceed a certain distance (typically over 15 meters), both the tracker and your phone will sound an alarm.
  • The app will also send a notification to remind you that you may have forgotten your item.

6.4 Location History (Breakpoint Positioning)

The app automatically records the last known location where the connection between your phone and the tracker was lost. This "breakpoint positioning" helps you narrow down the search area for lost items by showing their last recorded position on a map within the app.

7. Battery Information and Replacement

The Smart Tracker uses a replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery, which typically lasts for about one year. When the battery is low, the app may notify you, or the tracker's performance might decrease.

Battery Replacement Steps:

  1. Gently pry open the tracker casing using a small tool or your fingernail at the seam.
  2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
  3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Carefully close the casing until it clicks securely into place.

8. Maintenance

  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed to prevent dust and moisture ingress.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Device Not Connecting/Pairing

  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  • Make sure the tracker is powered on and within range of your phone.
  • Check the battery level of the tracker. Replace the battery if it's low.
  • Restart the app and try pairing again.
  • If issues persist, try resetting the tracker (see 9.4 Resetting the Tracker).

9.2 Tracker Not Sounding

  • Verify the tracker is connected to the app.
  • Check the volume settings within the app for the tracker.
  • Ensure the battery is not depleted.

9.3 Phone Not Ringing When Tracker Button is Pressed

  • Ensure the "Find Your Phone" feature is enabled in the app settings.
  • Check your phone's volume settings and ensure it's not in silent or do not disturb mode.
  • Confirm the tracker is connected to your phone via Bluetooth.

9.4 Resetting the Tracker

To reset the tracker, you may need to remove it from the app first. Then, with the battery removed, wait for 10-15 seconds before reinserting the battery and attempting to pair it again as per the setup instructions. Specific reset procedures can vary; refer to the app's help section or contact support if a simple re-pairing doesn't work.

10. User Tips

  • Battery Life: To maximize battery life, avoid constantly triggering the alarm or keeping the tracker in areas with frequent disconnections, which can cause it to search for a signal more often.
  • App Permissions: Always ensure the app has necessary location and notification permissions to fully utilize all features, especially for anti-loss alerts and location history.
  • Attachment: Use the integrated loop to securely attach the tracker to keychains, pet collars, or inside bags.

11. Warranty and Support

For warranty information and technical support, please refer to the seller's policies or contact the HaveDeer Official Store directly through the platform where you purchased the product. Keep your purchase receipt as proof of purchase.
