- Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all local and national electrical codes.
- Ensure the main power supply is disconnected before starting any installation work.
- Verify the voltage and current ratings of your electrical system are compatible with the charger.
- The charger must be properly grounded.
- Do not install in areas with flammable or explosive materials.
4.2 Mounting the Wallbox
- Choose a suitable mounting location: The charger is IP66 rated for indoor and outdoor use. Ensure it is on a solid surface, protected from direct impact, and within reach of your EV and power supply.
- Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark drilling points on the wall.
- Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
- Hang the charger unit onto the mounting bracket.
4.3 Electrical Wiring (Dynamic Load Balancing System)
The Feyree EV Charger features Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB) to prevent overloading your household electrical system. This requires the installation of a current sensor on your main household circuit.
- **Main Power Connection**: Connect the charger to your main electrical panel. Ensure proper L (Live), N (Neutral), and Ground connections.
- **Current Sensor Installation**: Install the provided current sensor on the main household's circuit, typically near the electricity meter or main distribution box. This sensor measures the real-time total current consumed by your household appliances.
- **Sensor Wiring**: Connect the current sensor to the designated S1 and S2 terminals on the charger unit. Refer to the wiring diagram below for detailed connections.
- **Verification**: After wiring, double-check all connections for security and correctness before restoring power.

7. Troubleshooting
The Feyree EV Charger is equipped with 8 intelligent safety protections. If an issue occurs, the charger may stop operation and display an error message on the LCD. Refer to the table below for common issues and solutions.
| Issue / Protection Triggered | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Leakage Protection (Type B AC30mA + DC6mA) | Electrical leakage detected. | Disconnect the EV, check the charging cable and EV for damage. If the issue persists, consult an electrician. The unit may self-recover after the fault is cleared. |
| Over/Under Voltage Protection | Input voltage is outside the 85-264V range. | Check household power supply. Consult an electrician if voltage fluctuations are frequent. The unit may self-recover when voltage stabilizes. |
| Over Current Protection | Charging current exceeds the set limit or charger's maximum capacity. | Reduce the charging current via the app or charger settings. Check for other high-power appliances running simultaneously if DLB is active. |
| Overheat Protection | Internal temperature exceeds 85°C. | Ensure adequate ventilation around the charger. Charging will resume automatically when temperature drops below 65°C. |
| Short Circuit Protection | Short circuit detected in the charging circuit. | Immediately disconnect the EV. Inspect the charging cable and connector for damage. Do not use if damage is found. Consult a qualified technician. |
| Ground Protection | Improper or missing ground connection. | Ensure the charger is properly grounded. Consult an electrician to verify the grounding of your electrical system. |
| Lightning Protection | Protects against lightning strikes. | No user action required during a lightning event. If the charger is damaged after a strike, contact support. |
| Emergency Power Outage | Power supply interrupted. | Charging will resume automatically once power is restored. |
| App/WiFi Connection Issues | Weak WiFi signal, incorrect password, or app error. | Check WiFi signal strength. Re-enter WiFi password in the app. Try connecting via Bluetooth if WiFi is unstable. Restart the app or charger. |
