4. Setup
The KONNWEI KW208 is designed for ease of use with no complex setup required. It draws power directly from the vehicle's 12V battery.
4.1 Connecting the Tester
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off.
- Connect the red clip of the KW208 to the positive (+) terminal of the 12V battery.
- Connect the black clip of the KW208 to the negative (-) terminal of the 12V battery.
- The device will power on automatically and display the main menu.

5. Operating Instructions
Once the KW208 is connected to the battery, use the 'EXIT', 'ENTER', and arrow buttons to navigate the menu and perform tests.
5.1 Battery Test
This function assesses the overall health of your battery.
- From the main menu, select 'Battery Test' (or 'Check' then 'Battery Test').
- Select the type of battery (e.g., Regular Flooded, AGM Flat Plate, AGM Spiral, GEL, EFB).
- Enter the battery's rated CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) or other relevant standard (BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, EN, SAE) as indicated on the battery label.
- The tester will perform the analysis and display results such as 'Good', 'Recharge', or 'Replace', along with internal resistance (mΩ) and life percentage (%).

5.2 Cranking Test
This test analyzes the actual cranking voltage and time to evaluate the health of the vehicle's starting system.
- From the main menu, select 'Cranking Test' (or 'Check' then 'Cranking Test').
- Follow the prompts on the screen to start the engine.
- The tester will automatically record and display the cranking time, maximum voltage, and minimum voltage during the start-up process. It will then provide a diagnosis, e.g., 'CRANKING LOW'.

5.3 Charging Test
This test evaluates the output voltage of the generator, the rectifier diode, and the charging current to provide an accurate assessment of the charging system.
- From the main menu, select 'Charging Test' (or 'Check' then 'Charging Test').
- Follow the prompts on the screen, which typically involve increasing the engine speed to approximately 2500 RPM for 5 seconds.
- Press 'ENTER' when prompted.
- The tester will display results such as 'CHARGING NORMAL' or indicate any issues with the charging system.

5.4 Language Selection
The KW208 supports 8 different languages. To change the language:
- From the main menu, select 'Setup'.
- Navigate to 'Language' and press 'ENTER'.
- Use the arrow buttons to select your desired language (English, German, French, Dutch, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) and press 'ENTER' to confirm.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
