6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from the power source before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Avoid dropping or subjecting the charger to strong impacts.
7. Troubleshooting
- Charger not turning on: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the charger and a working power source. Verify the power source is active.
- Battery not charging (empty symbol on LCD): Check if the battery is inserted with correct polarity. Ensure the battery is a supported rechargeable type (1.2V Ni-MH/Ni-CD or 1.5V/3.7V Li-ion AA/AAA). The battery might be faulty or completely discharged beyond recovery.
- Slow charging: Ensure your power adapter provides sufficient output (DC 5V 2A recommended for fast charging). Using a lower amperage adapter may result in slower charging times.
- Safety Protections: The charger is equipped with multiple safety features. If charging stops unexpectedly or an error occurs, it might be due to:
- Short-Circuit Protection: A short circuit in the battery or slot.
- Over Voltage Protection: Input voltage is too high.
- Over Current Protection: Excessive current draw.
- Over-Charging Protection: Prevents batteries from being charged beyond their capacity (automatic shutdown).
- Over Charge Protection: Similar to over-charging, ensures battery longevity.
- Reverse Polarity Protection: Prevents damage if batteries are inserted incorrectly.
