6. Setup Guide
6.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the key box.
- Insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
6.2. Physical Installation
Your smart key box can be installed in various ways depending on the model and your needs:
- Wall Mount: Use the provided mounting screws and wall plugs to securely attach the key box to a wall. Ensure the surface is stable and can support the weight.
- Shackle Installation (K3F & K5F): For the K3F model, the shackle is integrated. For the K5F, if you choose to use the shackle, attach it as per the instructions. This allows you to hang the key box on a door handle, fence, or other suitable fixture.

6.3. App Download and Pairing
The smart key box supports either the Tuya/Smart Life App or the TTLock App. Please refer to your product packaging or the included user manual to determine which app is compatible with your specific model.
- Download the appropriate app (Tuya Smart / Smart Life or TTLock) from your smartphone's app store.
- Register an account and log in.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your smart key box. This typically involves activating Bluetooth on your phone and pressing a button on the key box to enter pairing mode.
6.4. Adding Access Methods (Fingerprint, Passcode, IC Card)
Once paired with the app, you can add various access methods:
- Fingerprint: In the app, navigate to "Fingerprint Management" and follow the prompts to register your fingerprint. You will typically need to place your finger on the sensor multiple times at different angles.
- Passcode: Generate temporary or permanent passcodes through the app. You can also set up an anti-peeping passcode by entering random digits before and after your actual code.
- IC Card: Add IC cards by selecting "Card Management" in the app and presenting the card to the key box's sensor when prompted.

7. Operating Instructions
7.1. Unlocking the Key Box
- Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The box will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
- PIN Code: Enter your registered PIN code on the keypad, followed by the '#' key.
- IC Card: Present your registered IC card to the card sensing area on the key box.
- App Unlock: Open the app, select your key box, and use the "Touch to Unlock" or "Remote BLE Unlock" function.
7.2. Anti-Peeping Passcode
To prevent others from guessing your PIN code, you can enter random digits before or after your actual code. For example, if your code is 123456, you can enter 7891234560#.
7.3. Emergency Charging
If the batteries are completely depleted, you can use a USB cable to connect the key box to a power bank for emergency power. This will allow you to unlock the box and replace the batteries.
8. App Management (Tuya/Smart Life & TTLock)
Both Tuya/Smart Life and TTLock apps offer comprehensive management features for your smart key box:
- Remote Unlock/Management: Unlock the box via Bluetooth within range, or remotely via WiFi if a compatible gateway (G2 for TTLock, M1 for Tuya) is connected.
- User Management: Add, modify, or delete users, assign different access permissions (e.g., permanent, timed, cyclic).
- Access Records: View a detailed history of who unlocked the box, when, and by what method.
- Temporary Codes/eKeys: Generate and send temporary access codes or eKeys to guests or service providers.
- System Settings: Adjust various settings such as auto-lock time, volume, and notifications.
- Compatibility: The TTLock version is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Smart Watches when used with a G2 Gateway.


9. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: When the battery level is low, the key box will provide an alert. Replace all 4 AAA alkaline batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
- Cleaning: Wipe the key box and fingerprint sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface or electronic components.
- Environmental Care: Although designed for outdoor use, prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions may affect performance. Ensure the K5F's protective cover is properly installed.
10. Troubleshooting
- Key box not responding:
- Check battery level. If batteries are dead, use the emergency USB power port to temporarily power the device and replace batteries.
- Fingerprint not recognized:
- Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint in the app. Ensure the fingerprint sensor is clean.
- App cannot connect to the key box:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range. Check if the key box batteries are charged. Restart the app and try again. If using a gateway, ensure it is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
- PIN code not working:
- Verify the PIN code is correct. Ensure you are pressing '#' after entering the code. If using an anti-peeping code, ensure the correct sequence is followed.
11. User Tips
- For optimal battery life, use high-quality alkaline AAA batteries.
- Regularly check the battery status via the app to avoid unexpected lockouts.
- When registering fingerprints, ensure to capture multiple angles of your finger for better recognition accuracy.
- Utilize the temporary passcode feature for one-time access or for guests, rather than sharing your permanent code.
- If using the WiFi gateway, place it within close proximity to the key box for a stable connection.

This product comes with a one-year warranty from the date of original purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover defects caused by misuse, accidental damage, fire, or any other user-induced issues.
