6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Mode Selection
The P35 offers four selectable charging modes. Press the "MODE" button to cycle through the options:
- LITHIUM: For Lithium batteries (ensure BMS is present).
- AGM/Lead-acid: For standard Lead-Acid, AGM, GEL, Calcium, EFB, MF, FLOODED, VRLA, SLA, and WET batteries.
- LiFePO4: For Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.
- REPAIR: For desulfation and reconditioning of deeply discharged or sulfated batteries.

6.2 Adjustable Current Levels
The charger features a toggle switch to select one of three current levels, suitable for different battery capacities and charging speeds:
- 12V/10A (24V/5A)
- 12V/20A (24V/10A)
- 12V/35A (24V/18A)
Select the appropriate current based on your battery's capacity and desired charging time. For batteries below 30AH, it is recommended to use the minimum current level (10A/5A) for optimal battery health.

6.3 Smart Charging Process (9-Stage)
The HTRC P35 utilizes a 9-stage smart charging process to optimize battery power precisely and gently, ensuring efficient charging and extending battery life:
- Battery Desulfation: Removes sulfates from battery plates.
- Soft Start Charging: Gradually introduces power to the battery.
- Bulk Charging: Charges the battery to approximately 80% capacity.
- Absorption Charging: Charges the battery to 100% at a decreasing current.
- Trickle Charge: Maintains the battery at full charge.
- Battery Test: Checks battery health and capacity.
- Recondition Charging: Restores deeply discharged batteries.
- Float & Maintenance Charging: Keeps the battery at optimal voltage.
- Small Current to Maintain Charging: Ensures long-term battery health.

6.4 Automatic Features
- Automatic Voltage Identification: The charger automatically detects if the connected battery is 12V or 24V.
- Temperature Compensation: Built-in temperature detection adjusts charging parameters for optimal performance in both hot and cold environments, preventing over-charging or under-charging.
- Smart Charging Dead Batteries: The charger can automatically detect and charge batteries with voltage as low as 2V, unlike some chargers that require manual "forced mode."

7. Maintenance
- Keep the charger clean and dry.
- Store the charger in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Regularly check the cables and clips for any damage. Replace if necessary.
- The built-in cooling fan helps maintain optimal operating temperature. Ensure its vents are not obstructed.
8. Troubleshooting
- Q: Does the LiFePO4 battery fully charge?
- A: When a LiFePO4 battery is fully charged, the charger may exhibit a callback function, reducing the charge by approximately 1V. This is normal behavior. The charger will continue uninterrupted charging with a low current after reaching full charge to maintain the battery.
- Q: Is it a problem if the fan makes noise?
- A: It is normal for the charger's fan to make a slight noise during operation. This indicates the cooling system is functioning to prevent overheating.
9. User Tips
- For batteries below 30AH, always use the minimum current level (12V/10A or 24V/5A) to ensure gentle and healthy charging.
- When charging Lithium batteries, ensure they are equipped with a Battery Management System (BMS) for safety and proper charging.
- The LCD display provides real-time information on charging status, voltage, and temperature. Monitor these readings for optimal charging.
