7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior of the power supply with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
- Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Fuse Replacement: If the unit fails to power on, check the fuse located on the rear panel (refer to Figure 5.1). Replace with a fuse of the same type and rating if necessary.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Power:
- Check if the power cord is securely connected to both the unit and the mains outlet.
- Verify the input voltage switch on the rear panel is set correctly (115V or 230V) for your region.
- Inspect the fuse on the rear panel. If blown, replace it with a fuse of the identical rating.
- No Output Voltage/Current:
- Ensure the output terminals are correctly connected to your load.
- For GC series, check if the 'OUT' button is activated (output enabled).
- If the CC or CV indicator is flashing or behaving unusually, the unit might be in a protection state (Over Current Protection, Over Voltage Protection). Reduce the load or adjust settings.
- Verify that the voltage and current settings are not set to zero.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure proper connection of test leads.
- Compare readings with a calibrated multimeter if precision is critical.
- Overheating:
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block the cooling fan vents on the rear panel.
- The intelligent temperature-controlled fan automatically activates when the internal temperature reaches 50°C to dissipate heat.
9. User Tips
- Pre-setting Values: Utilize the pre-display feature to set your desired voltage and current before connecting a sensitive load or enabling the output. This helps prevent accidental over-voltage or over-current conditions.
- USB Charging Convenience: The integrated USB fast charging port is highly convenient for charging mobile devices or powering small USB-powered circuits directly from the power supply, freeing up other power outlets.
- Fine Adjustment: For precise voltage and current settings, especially with the GA series encoder knobs, press the knob to switch between digits for finer control. For GC series, use the arrow buttons to select the specific digit.
- Safety First: Always double-check your connections and settings before powering on the unit or connecting a load. Pay attention to polarity (red for positive, black for negative).
