5. Setup and Assembly

5.1 Installing the Saw Blade

  1. Ensure the saw is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Press the spindle lock button (if present) to prevent the blade from rotating.
  3. Using the provided spanner and hex key, loosen the blade retaining bolt.
  4. Carefully remove the outer flange and old blade (if applicable).
  5. Place the new 185mm saw blade onto the spindle, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow on the saw guard.
  6. Replace the outer flange and tighten the blade retaining bolt securely with the spanner and hex key. Do not overtighten.
  7. Release the spindle lock.

5.2 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle

The auxiliary handle provides better control and stability during operation. Attach it to the designated mounting point on the front of the saw, ensuring it is securely fastened.

5.3 Connecting the Dust-Blowing Port Adapter

For cleaner operation and improved visibility, attach the dust-blowing port adapter to the saw's dust outlet. This allows for connection to a vacuum cleaner or dust collection system.

5.4 Adjusting Cutting Depth

To adjust the cutting depth, loosen the depth adjustment lever, move the base plate up or down to the desired depth, and then securely tighten the lever. Ensure the blade extends slightly below the workpiece for a clean cut.

5.5 Adjusting Bevel Angle

For angled cuts, loosen the bevel adjustment lever, tilt the base plate to the desired angle (up to 45°), and then securely tighten the lever. The saw can achieve a maximum cutting depth of 41mm at a 45° bevel.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Before Starting

  • Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and stable.
  • Verify the blade is sharp and appropriate for the material being cut.
  • Check that all adjustments (depth, bevel) are securely locked.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

6.2 Starting and Stopping the Saw

To start the saw, press the safety lock release button and then squeeze the trigger switch. To stop, release the trigger switch. The safety lock prevents accidental starting.

6.3 Making a Cut

  1. Position the front edge of the saw's base plate flat on the workpiece.
  2. Align the blade with your cutting line. The integrated laser guide can assist with precise alignment.
  3. Start the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the material.
  4. Slowly and steadily push the saw forward through the workpiece, maintaining firm pressure. Do not force the saw; let the blade do the work.
  5. Maintain a clear line of sight to the cutting path. The dust-blowing feature and oversized vents help keep the cutting line visible and prevent motor overheating.
  6. Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece.

6.4 Using the Guide Ruler

Insert the guide ruler into the slot on the saw's base plate. Adjust it to the desired distance from the blade and tighten the locking screw. This allows for consistent, straight cuts parallel to the edge of the workpiece.

  • Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean dust and debris from the motor vents and blade guard.
  • Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Ensure the dust-blowing port is clear of obstructions.

7.2 Blade Replacement

Refer to Section 5.1 for detailed instructions on how to safely replace the saw blade. Replace dull or damaged blades promptly to ensure clean cuts and prevent strain on the motor.

7.3 General Inspection

  • Periodically check all screws and fasteners for tightness.
  • Inspect the power cord for any signs of damage.
  • Ensure the blade guard operates smoothly and retracts properly.

8. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your circular saw.

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Saw does not start No power supply; Safety lock not engaged; Faulty switch Check power connection; Ensure safety lock is pressed before trigger; Contact service if switch is faulty.
Poor cutting performance / Rough cuts Dull or incorrect blade; Incorrect cutting depth; Forcing the saw Replace blade; Adjust cutting depth; Allow saw to cut at its own pace.
Saw overheats Blocked ventilation; Overloading the motor; Dull blade Clean vents; Reduce load; Replace blade. The built-in current limiter helps prevent motor burnout.
Blade binds in material Workpiece not supported correctly; Blade not aligned; Forcing the cut Ensure workpiece is stable; Re-align blade; Do not force the saw.

9. User Tips

  • For best results, always use a sharp blade suitable for the material you are cutting.
  • When making long cuts, use the guide ruler to maintain a consistent and straight line.
  • Regularly clear sawdust from the work area and the saw's dust port to improve visibility and tool performance.
  • Practice on scrap material before making critical cuts to familiarize yourself with the saw's operation and adjustments.
