1. Introduction

The TTlock H3/H3F is an advanced fingerprint door access control system designed for smart, convenient, safe, and efficient access management. It offers multiple unlocking methods and can be managed via the TTLock mobile application, providing a modern solution for various environments from personal homes to corporate offices.

2. Key Features

  • Multiple Unlocking Methods: App, Password, RFID Card, Fingerprint (H3F only), and Gateway Remote Unlock.
  • App Management: Generate time-limited passwords, manage users, and check attendance records remotely via the TTLock app.

  • Keypad Protection: Keypad locks for 5 minutes after 5 incorrect passcode entries.
  • Pseudo Passcode: Unlock by entering any digits, provided the last digits form the real passcode.

  • Real-time Monitoring: Administrator receives push notifications when a user unlocks via the app.

5. Installation

5.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the following diagram for proper wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the device.

5.2 Installation Steps

  1. Drill a hole for the cable: Drill a hole at an appropriate position to make space for the cable to connect to the power source.
  2. Install the mounting plate: Remove the mounting plate from the access controller and fix it on the wall with 4 screws.
  3. Connect the wiring: Cut off the connector of the cable, strip and connect the leads to appropriate ports of the power supply according to the illustration (Figure 8).
  4. Install the access controller: Fit the access controller into the hook and fix it on the mounting plate with a screw in the bottom.

6. Setup and Configuration

6.1 App Download and Pairing

Search for "TTLOCK" in your mobile app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS) and download the application.

  1. Tap the panel to light it up and activate the lock.
  2. On voice prompt "Please add Bluetooth Administrator", activate the APP.
  3. Tap the "≡" icon on the upper left corner, tap "+Add Lock", select "Door Lock".
  4. Tap the device shown on the screen. Wait a few seconds, and then add successfully.

Notice: If fails, please shut off the APP and Bluetooth, then turn them on and try the above process again.

6.2 Adding Passcodes

From the TTLock app, navigate to the 'Passcodes' section. You can generate permanent, timed, one-time, custom, or recurring passcodes. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the desired passcode and its validity period.

6.3 Adding RFID Cards

In the TTLock app, go to the 'Cards' section and select 'Add Card'. You can set the card's validity as permanent, timed, or recurring. Place the RFID card against the card reader sensor on the access control system when prompted by the app.

6.4 Adding Fingerprints (H3F only)

For H3F models, navigate to the 'Fingerprints' section in the app. Select 'Add Fingerprint' and follow the instructions to place and remove your finger from the sensor several times until successfully recorded.

6.5 Adding Remote Controls

In the app, go to the 'Remote' section and select 'Add Remote'. Follow the app's instructions, which typically involve long-pressing a button on the remote control for a few seconds until an indicator light flashes, then confirming in the app.

6.6 G2 WiFi Gateway (Optional for Remote Control)

To enable remote door opening and control from anywhere via WiFi, you need to purchase and connect a G2 TTLock Bluetooth Gateway. The gateway bridges the Bluetooth connection of the access control system to your home WiFi network.

6.7 Smart Home Integration

The system supports integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control, provided a G2 Gateway is connected. Follow the instructions in the TTLock app under 'Work with' to link your smart home accounts.

7. Operation

7.1 Unlocking with the App

Open the TTLock app, ensure Bluetooth is enabled, and you are within range of the access control system. Tap the lock icon in the app to unlock. Hold to lock.

7.2 Unlocking with Passcode

Enter your registered passcode on the keypad followed by the '#' key to unlock. The keypad backlight will light up when touched.

7.3 Unlocking with RFID Card

Present a registered RFID card to the card reader area on the access control system to unlock.

7.4 Unlocking with Fingerprint (H3F only)

Place a registered finger on the fingerprint sensor to unlock.

7.5 Remote Unlocking

If a G2 WiFi Gateway is installed, you can remotely unlock the door from anywhere using the TTLock app.

8. User Tips

  • For remote access and smart home integration (Alexa/Google Assistant), ensure you have a G2 TTLock Bluetooth Gateway.
  • The system can store up to 100 fingerprints (H3F model) and 2000 RFID cards, providing ample capacity for various users.
  • The TTLock app is the primary management tool; familiarize yourself with its features for optimal use.
  • The system does not natively support Tuya or Smartlife apps; it operates with the dedicated TTLock app.

9. Maintenance

9.1 Cleaning

Wipe the access control system's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the acrylic panel.

9.2 Backlight Settings

You can change the backlight settings using specific codes:

  • Back lighting always on: *49#admin password#
  • Back lighting always off: *49#admin password#0#

9.3 Reset to Default Mode

To reset the device to its default factory settings, follow these wiring steps when the power is on:

  1. Connect the blue wire (SW) to the purple wire (IN).
  2. Connect SW and IN to the black wire (GND) for 3 seconds.
  3. Disconnect the black wire (GND) on a beep.
  4. Repeat step 2 and step 3 twice until 2 short beeps are heard.
Instructions for resetting to default mode: connect blue wire to purple, connect SW and IN to black wire for 3 seconds, disconnect black wire on beep, repeat steps 2 and 3 twice.

10. Troubleshooting

  • App pairing fails: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the access control system is activated. Try restarting the app and Bluetooth.
  • Remote control not working: Verify that the G2 WiFi Gateway is properly installed and connected to both the access control system and your WiFi network. Ensure the distance between the gateway and the smart lock is no more than 32 feet (10 meters).
  • Keypad is unresponsive: Check the power supply. If the keypad is locked due to multiple incorrect entries, wait for 5 minutes.
  • Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register the fingerprint if issues persist.
  • Card not recognized: Ensure the RFID card is correctly registered in the app.

11. Warranty and Support

11.1 Limited Warranty

For any defect in material and/or workmanship, the original purchaser of the product can:

  1. Return or ask for a replacement within 7 days from the date of the Invoice.
  2. Ask for a replacement within 15 days from the date of the Invoice.
  3. Can ask for a free repair in 365 days from the date of the Invoice.

This warranty does not cover defects caused by modification, alteration, misuse or physical abuse of the product.

11.2 FCC Warning

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

To maintain compliance with FCC's RF Exposure guidelines, this equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance between 20cm the radiator your body. Use only the supplied antenna.
