Setup
1. Mounting the Riflescope
The Continental x6 1-6x24 riflescope is designed for use with 30mm Picatinny rings. Ensure your mounting system is compatible and securely fastened to your firearm's rail.
- Attach the bottom halves of the 30mm Picatinny rings to your firearm's rail, ensuring proper eye relief and alignment.
- Place the riflescope into the bottom halves of the rings.
- Attach the top halves of the rings, tightening the screws evenly to secure the riflescope without over-tightening. Ensure the reticle is level.
- Verify that the riflescope is securely mounted and does not move when subjected to light force.

2. Battery Installation
The riflescope's illuminated reticle requires one CR2032 battery (not included). To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the illumination control knob, typically on the left side of the riflescope's main tube.
- Unscrew the battery cap.
- Insert a fresh CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards.
- Screw the battery cap back on securely.
Operating Instructions
1. Diopter Adjustment
The diopter adjustment ring, located on the ocular lens, allows you to focus the reticle for your individual eyesight. Adjust it until the reticle appears sharp and clear. The diopter compensation range is +2 to -3.
2. Magnification Adjustment
Rotate the magnification ring, located on the ocular end of the scope, to adjust the magnification from 1x to 6x. The true 1x power allows for two-eyes-open shooting, while the 6x zoom factor provides versatility for various distances.
3. Windage and Elevation Adjustment (Turrets)
The riflescope features resettable and lockable turrets for precise windage and elevation adjustments. Each click adjusts the point of impact by 1/10 MIL. The total adjustment range for both elevation and windage is 45 MIL.
- **To Adjust:** Pull up the turret to unlock it. Rotate the turret to make adjustments.
- **To Lock:** Push the turret down to lock it in place, preventing accidental changes.
- **Zero Re-Set:** The turrets feature a return-to-zero function. After zeroing your rifle, you can reset the turrets to '0' without affecting your internal adjustments. Consult the detailed user manual for specific zero-reset procedures.

4. Reticle Illumination
The etched glass VEC-T6M BDC reticle features a center dot with 6 levels of red illumination. The illumination control is integrated into the side focus knob (or a separate knob on the left side). Rotate the knob to turn the illumination on/off and adjust its brightness.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and performance of your riflescope.
- **Cleaning Lenses:** Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Breathe lightly on the lens to create moisture, then gently wipe in a circular motion. For stubborn dirt, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid.
- **Cleaning Body:** Wipe the riflescope body with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For more thorough cleaning, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying.
- **Storage:** Store the riflescope in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the lens caps to protect the lenses when not in use.
- **Water Resistance:** The riflescope is IP67 water-resistant, meaning it can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, it is not recommended for prolonged underwater use. Always dry the scope thoroughly if it gets wet.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your riflescope, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- **Blurry Image/Reticle:**
- Adjust the diopter ring on the ocular lens until the reticle is sharp.
- Ensure the objective lens is clean and free of smudges.
- **Reticle Not Illuminating:**
- Check if the CR2032 battery is correctly installed with the positive (+) side facing out.
- Replace the battery with a fresh CR2032 battery.
- Ensure the illumination knob is turned to an active setting (1-6).
- **Point of Impact Shifts:**
- Verify that the riflescope is securely mounted and the rings are tightened properly.
- Ensure the turrets are locked down after making adjustments.
- Check for any loose components on the firearm or mounting system.
- **Fogging Inside Lens:**
- This riflescope is nitrogen purged to prevent internal fogging. If fogging occurs, contact customer support.
User Tips
Based on common user inquiries and experiences, here are some helpful tips:
- **Battery Type:** The riflescope uses a standard CR2032 coin cell battery for reticle illumination. It's advisable to carry a spare, especially for extended use.
- **Turret Operation:** Remember to pull up the turrets to adjust and push them down to lock. This prevents accidental changes to your zero.
- **Zeroing:** Take your time when zeroing the riflescope. Make small, precise adjustments and confirm your shots. The 1/10 MIL clicks allow for fine-tuning.
