DPI Adjustment

Use the dedicated DPI button (Button 6 in Figure 4) to cycle through the 6 available DPI levels (800-12000 DPI). The LOGO light and scroll wheel light act as DPI indicators, typically changing color or pattern to reflect the current DPI setting.

RGB Lighting Effects

The mouse features dynamic RGB lighting. You can toggle the strip light effect with a short press of the bottom button. Further customization of RGB patterns and colors can be done through the driver software.

Macro Programming

The FreeWolf M5 supports macro programming. Install the official game driver software to:

  • Set key functions for all 7 buttons.
  • Adjust return rate (125-1000Hz).
  • Create and assign complex macros for gaming or productivity tasks.
  • Customize DPI values for each level.

Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse surface. For the honeycomb cut-outs, a can of compressed air can help remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cable Care: Do not sharply bend or pull the parachute cord wire. Store the mouse in a way that prevents the cable from being crimped or tangled.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the mouse in a clean, dry environment away from extreme temperatures.
  • Sensor Maintenance: Keep the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse clean and free from obstructions for optimal tracking performance.

Troubleshooting

Mouse not responding:
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer.
  • Try plugging the mouse into a different USB port.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Check if the mouse works on another computer to rule out a system-specific issue.
DPI not changing:
  • Press the DPI button (Button 6) to cycle through settings. Observe if the indicator lights change.
  • If using custom DPI settings, ensure the driver software is running and settings are applied correctly.
RGB lighting not working or stuck:
  • Short press the bottom button to toggle the strip light effect.
  • Check the driver software for RGB lighting settings and ensure they are enabled and configured as desired.
  • Ensure the mouse is properly connected to the computer.
Macro functions not working:
  • Ensure the official game driver software is installed and running.
  • Verify that macros are correctly assigned to the desired buttons within the software.
  • Check if the mouse is in the correct operating mode (Gaming Mode for specific gaming macros).
