2. Package Contents
Please verify that all items listed below are included in your package. If any items are missing or damaged, please contact your vendor.

Figure 2: All components included in the package. (Raspberry Pi is NOT included)
- 1 x Low-Profile Plus CPU Cooler
- 4 x M2.5*6+4mm Hand-tightened copper nuts
- 4 x M2.5*6mm screws
- 4 x M2.5*10mm Hexagon screws
- 1 x Steel brackets for Low-Profile Plus CPU Cooler
- 1 x M2.5 screwdriver
- 1 x M2 Allen wrench
- 1 x Bottom case of armor case
- 2 x Thermal Pads
- 1 x Additional heat sink (for PCB)
3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install the Low-Profile Plus CPU Cooler on your Raspberry Pi 5:
- Prepare Thermal Pads: Locate the two thermal pads and the additional heat sink for the PCB. Carefully peel off the protective film from both sides of the thermal pads.
- Apply Thermal Pads: Place the thermal pads onto the designated areas of your Raspberry Pi 5's PCB, as indicated in Figure 3. Ensure good contact with the components requiring cooling.
- Mount Cooler: Position the Low-Profile Plus CPU Cooler over the Raspberry Pi 5 CPU, aligning the mounting holes. Secure the cooler using the provided M2.5*6+4mm hand-tightened copper nuts and M2.5*6mm screws. Use the steel brackets if necessary for additional stability.
- Connect Fan: Connect the fan's power cable to the appropriate fan interface on the Raspberry Pi 5. Ensure the yellow wire is positioned outside, as shown in Figure 4.
- Install Bottom Case (Optional): If using the included bottom case of the armor case, attach it to the Raspberry Pi 5 assembly using the M2.5*10mm Hexagon screws.

4. Operating Instructions
The fan on the Low-Profile Plus CPU Cooler is controlled by the Raspberry Pi OS's Linux kernel. It is designed to activate automatically when the CPU temperature reaches 60°C (140°F). Manual control of the fan speed is not supported by this hardware configuration.

5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your CPU cooler, periodic maintenance is recommended:
- Dust Removal: Gently clean the fan blades and aluminum fins with a soft brush or compressed air every few months to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and cooling efficiency.
- Inspection: Periodically check the fan for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure all mounting screws remain tight.
6. Troubleshooting
Fan Not Spinning:
If the fan does not spin, please note the following:
- The fan is controlled by the Raspberry Pi OS's Linux kernel. It will only activate when the CPU temperature reaches 60°C. This is normal operation and not a malfunction.
- Ensure the fan cable is securely connected to the Raspberry Pi 5's fan interface.
- Verify that your Raspberry Pi OS is up to date, as fan control is managed by the operating system.
