1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the NaviFly OD4 6.86-inch 1DIN Android System Car Multimedia Player. 1.2. Safety Warnings

To ensure the safety of yourself, your vehicle, and others, please observe the following basic requirements:

  2. For driving safety and to avoid traffic law violations, do not watch videos or operate this machine while driving.
  3. To prevent short circuits, do not allow this device to come into contact with rainwater.
  4. To prevent short circuits, do not place or leave any metal objects (such as coins or metal tools) in the equipment.
  5. Use this machine according to this manual. Do not attempt to open or repair it yourself. For repairs, consult a professional repair station.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1. Product Dimensions

The NaviFly OD4 features a 1DIN form factor. Refer to the diagram below for detailed dimensions.

2.2. Front Panel Interface

The front panel provides convenient access to various ports and controls:

  • Type-C interface: For connecting compatible devices.
  • TF card interface: For inserting a TF (Micro SD) card.
  • Reset: To reset the device or connection.

  • MIC: Microphone input.
  • AUX interface: Auxiliary audio input.

2.3. Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel houses all necessary connections for power, audio, video, and peripherals.

  • RCA Cable: For audio/video output to external amplifiers or displays.

2.4. Backup Camera Wiring Diagram

For installing a backup camera, follow the wiring diagram below. The rearview mirror automatically prioritizes the reverse image when reverse gear is engaged.

The camera function of this machine only supports video input display and does not include serial communication control for camera devices.

2.5. Power-on Logo Function (Optional)

You can customize the boot logo of the device:

  1. Go to "LOGO settings" or "Factory settings".
  2. Enter the password "112233" to access LOGO settings.
  3. You can set internal or external car logos.
  4. For external car logos, copy a JPG format logo file into a folder named "Logo" on a USB flash drive or SD card.
  5. Insert the USB drive/SD card into the device and select the logo file for setting.

Note: Only full-screen size JPG files can be used to set the boot logo.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Start and Shut Down

  • Start: When the ignition switch is in the ACC ON position, the device will automatically turn on for the first time. Alternatively, press the power button (usually marked with a circle and vertical line) on the panel to turn it on.
  • Shut Down: While the device is on, long-press the power button on the panel touch screen for more than 2 seconds to shut down the host.

3.2. Main Interface Navigation

Upon powering on, the system enters the main interface. The main interface displays various application icons and a control bar at the bottom.

  • Gently slide the screen left or right with your finger to switch between main pages.
  • To return to the previous interface from other functional interfaces, touch the back arrow icon.
  • To return directly to the main interface from other functional interfaces, touch the home icon.
  • Slide your finger down in the upper right area of the main interface to quickly access wallpaper settings, screen off, and Bluetooth/EQ/Sound Field/Control Interface functions.
  • Touch the [screen off] icon to turn off the screen; touch it again to turn it back on.

3.3. Panel Button Functions

Refer to the physical panel for specific button functions. Some common functions include:

  • Power Button (Switch/Mute):
    • When off, short press to start the device.
    • If the panel has a dedicated mute key, the power button does not mute. Long press to shut down, short press to switch to silent mode.
    • If no dedicated mute key, short press to switch to silent mode, long press to shut down.
  • Main Menu Button: Returns to the main interface from any application.
  • Return Key: Returns to the previous level menu from any application.
  • Volume Up (+): Increases volume in any mode.
  • Volume Down (-): Decreases volume in any mode.

3.4. Video Function Operation

This function allows playing video files from connected USB devices or the built-in hard disk. Supported video formats include MPEG, MPG, MP4, 3GP, MKV, AVI, FLV, etc.

  1. Touch the [Video] icon on the main interface.
  2. Select "USB" or "Local" to browse video files.
  3. Touch the filter icon to filter video files.
  4. Select the desired video to start playback.

Playback controls include: previous file, next file, loop playback, pause playback, and resolution tensile control.

3.5. Music Function Operation

This function plays audio files from USB devices or TF cards. Supported music formats include MP3, M4A, WAV, AMR, WMA, OGG, AAC, MID, etc.

  1. Touch the [Music] icon on the main interface.
  2. Select "USB" or "Local" to browse music files.
  3. Playback controls include: previous song, next song, pause/play, repeat (single/folder/all), and random play.

3.6. Bluetooth Function

The built-in smart Bluetooth system supports mobile phone BT pairing and hands-free dialing, enhancing driving safety.

3.6.1. Pairing and Connection

  1. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth function is turned on.
  2. On the device's main interface, touch the [Bluetooth] icon.
  3. Search for Bluetooth devices either from your phone or through the device's interface.
  4. Select "Car BT" (or similar name) from the list of available devices.
  5. When prompted, enter the PIN code (default is 0000) on your phone and confirm.
  6. After successful pairing, the device will automatically connect to the last disconnected phone when powered on.

3.6.2. Telephone Operation

Once connected, you can make and receive calls directly from the device.

  • To dial a number, touch the digital buttons on the screen. Use the backspace icon to delete digits or long-press to clear all.
  • During a call, touch the hang-up icon to end the call.
  • Touch the switch icon to transfer call audio between the phone receiver and the car stereo.

3.6.3. Phone Book and Call Record

  • Phone Book: From the Bluetooth interface, touch the phone book icon to access your synced contacts.
  • Call Record: From the Bluetooth interface, touch the call record icon to view dialed, received, and missed calls. Touch a number to redial.

3.6.4. Bluetooth Music Operation

Play music files wirelessly from your phone via Bluetooth.

  1. Touch the [Bluetooth Music] icon on the main interface.
  2. Ensure your phone is paired and connected.
  3. Use the on-screen controls for playback (play/pause, next/previous track).

Note: Due to differences in mobile phone models, in some cases, audio file playback may need to be initiated from the mobile phone itself.

3.7. Radio Function Operation

The device supports FM radio with automatic and manual search capabilities.

  1. Touch the [Radio] icon on the main interface to enter the radio interface.
  2. Waveband Switching: Touch the "BAND" or "FM/AM" key to switch between FM1-FM3 and AM1-AM2 (AM limited to supported versions).
  3. Fine-tuning Search: Short press the arrow icons to fine-tune the frequency point by point. You can also drag the slider to directly select the desired frequency.
  4. Automatic Search and Storage: Long-press the search icon to automatically scan and store radio stations. The search will stop automatically when completed.
    • The FM band can store 18 radio stations (6 each for FM1, FM2, FM3).
    • The AM band can store 12 radio stations (6 each for AM1, AM2).
  5. Manual Selection of Presets: Directly click on the preset frequency areas (e.g., P1-P6) to select stored stations.

3.8. Quick Map Browsing Function

This function allows browsing and editing image files from USB devices or TF cards. Supported image formats include JPG, PNG, BMP, JPEG, etc.

  1. Touch the [Gallery] icon on the main interface.
  2. Select "USB" or "TF" to browse image files.
  3. Touch a corresponding picture to enter the picture browsing interface.
  4. Controls include: previous picture, next picture, enlarge, narrow, rotate, and browse.

3.9. Mobile Phone Interconnection (CarPlay / Android Auto)

The device supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

  1. On the main interface, touch the [CarPlay] or [Android Auto] icon.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your mobile phone.
  3. The system will automatically connect to the CarPlay or Android Auto interface after successful connection.

Note: You can select "phonelink" on the homepage to configure automatic connection settings, choosing whether to automatically connect to the last CarPlay, MirrorLink, or disable automatic connection.

3.10. AV-IN Function Operation

When an external CAMERA video input is connected, select AV-IN to view the feed.

  • If no video signal is detected, the "AV-IN" interface will display "No signal".
  • If a video signal is detected, the "AV-IN" interface will show "Loading", and the front camera screen will be displayed normally after loading.

3.11. Steering Wheel Control Learning

This feature allows you to map functions to your vehicle's steering wheel buttons.

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Steering Wheel Key" or "Fangkong Learning".
  2. Hold down the steering wheel button you wish to program.
  3. On the screen, click the corresponding function you want to assign (e.g., Volume+, Next Song).
  4. Repeat for all desired buttons.
  5. Click "Save" to store the settings.

4. Settings

Access the settings menu by touching the [Settings] icon on the main interface.

4.1. Basic Setup

  • Reversing Muted Switch: Toggles audio mute when reversing.
  • Driving Ban Video: Enables/disables video playback while driving (for safety, keep enabled).
  • Front Camera: Settings related to the front camera (if installed).
  • Button Colorful Light Mode: Adjusts the lighting mode for physical buttons.
  • Change the time of the colorful lights of the key: Sets the duration for button lighting.
  • Touch Screen Correction: Calibrates the touch screen.
  • Restore Factory Settings: Resets all settings to default.

4.2. Radio Area (Receiving Area) Setup

This setting affects the frequency band range and default pre-saved frequency points for the radio. Select your region (e.g., America, Japan, etc.).

4.3. Sound Effect (EQ) Setup

Adjust audio settings for optimal sound quality.

  • EQ Adjustment: Adjust the audio gain of presets (e.g., Dance, Classical, Soft, Jazz) and individual frequency points (e.g., 60Hz, 230Hz, 910Hz, 3.6kHz, 5kHz, 11kHz, 13kHz, 14kHz, 16kHz, 19.9kHz).
  • Loudness Switch: Turns on the LOUD gain function.
  • Sound Field Adjustment: Click "Balance" to enter the sound field adjustment interface, where you can adjust the balance and fader. The amplitude of the bass output can also be set here.

4.4. Screen Setup

  • Brightness: Adjusts screen brightness.
  • Contrast: Adjusts screen contrast.
  • Saturation: Adjusts screen saturation.

4.5. Screen Saver Setup

Configure the screen saver function, including its switch, start time, and effect. By default, a clock table is displayed when the screen saver is active.

4.6. Language Settings

The device supports multiple languages. Navigate to "System Settings" > "Language & input" > "Languages" to add or change languages. You can drag to reorder language preferences.

4.7. Date and Time Settings

Set the current year, month, day, and hour. You can also choose between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats.

4.8. Version Number Information

View the device's operating system (OS), application (APP), microcontroller unit (MCU), and Bluetooth MAC address information.

4.9. Factory Setup

To access factory settings, enter the password "112345". This menu is typically for advanced configurations and should be used with caution.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning Equipment

  • For light stains on the panel, use a clean, soft cloth (e.g., a cleaning cloth) to wipe them off.
  • For stubborn dirt, use a neutral cleaner on a soft cloth, then wipe away the cleaner with a clean, soft cloth.

Warning: Do not spray cleaning agents directly onto the equipment, as this may affect mechanical parts. Avoid using hard cloths or volatile liquids (such as thinners or alcohol) to wipe the panel, as this may scratch the surface or erase characters.
