Airplay / Android Mirror (Miracast)
To use the mirroring function, navigate to the Airplay or Miracast option on the device's function page. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your phone for screen mirroring.
Note: You cannot switch directly to the mirroring page from the Carplay or Android Auto interface. Some in-app videos may not support mirroring due to copyright restrictions.
Media Player
The device supports playing music and video files directly from an inserted SD card. Ensure your files are in compatible formats (e.g., AVI for video, MJPG for video code). If files are not read, check for card corruption or unconventional file formats.
Bluetooth Music
Connect your phone to the device via Bluetooth to stream music. This is separate from Bluetooth audio transmission to your car's speakers.
Audio Transmission Methods
The device offers four ways to output audio, including connecting to your vehicle's audio system:
- Device Speaker: Audio plays directly from the dashcam's built-in speaker.
- Bluetooth Transmission: If your car's OEM head unit supports Bluetooth, connect your phone to the car's Bluetooth after connecting to Carplay/Android Auto. This transmits the device's audio to your car's speakers.
- FMT Transmission: This is an FM audio transmission function, not an FM radio. Select an unused FM frequency on the dashcam, then tune your car's radio to the same frequency (e.g., if the device selects FM106.0, set your car radio to FM106.0). If local radio stations interfere, choose a different frequency.
- AUX Wired Transmission: If your car has an AUX port, use the provided AUX cable to connect the dashcam to your car's AUX input.

Voice Control
The device supports Siri/Google Voice Control for hands-free operation, allowing you to issue commands like "show rear camera," "turn off display," or "turn on display."

Real-time Reversing View
When reversing, the system automatically activates the rear high-definition reversing camera, displaying a real-time view with parking lines. The rear camera is IP68 waterproof and offers a 140° wide angle and night vision capabilities.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Jansite Dashcam, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the screen clean using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all cable connections are secure.
- Regularly check the SD card for errors and format it periodically to maintain recording quality and prevent data corruption.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
Troubleshooting (Q&A)
- 1. Can't connect to Carplay or Android Auto?
- Ignore the Bluetooth device in your phone's settings and restart the dashcam to try connecting again.
- Go to Settings on the dashcam, clear the connection history, and attempt to connect again.
- As a last resort, perform a factory reset via the dashcam's settings.
- 2. Why can't I use Airplay or Mirror link?
- When using mirroring functions, ensure you are on the corresponding mirroring option page on the dashcam. You cannot switch directly from Carplay or Android Auto.
- If the connection fails, reboot your phone and try reconnecting.
- Some mobile phone app videos cannot be mirrored due to copyright restrictions.
- 3. Is this device compatible with my car?
- This Carplay dashcam is designed for all car models with an output voltage of 7-24V. The base bracket is flat, which might not be ideal for curved or semi-circular center consoles.
- 4. Can this device be powered by other devices?
- No. It must be powered by the cigarette lighter power cord included in the box. Using other power interfaces may lead to unstable connections or damage.
- 5. Does this device support watching videos?
- Yes, Airplay and Android Cast are supported, allowing you to project video apps from your mobile phone to the screen. Any operation needs to be done on your mobile phone when mirroring.
- The device also supports playing offline video and music files directly from an SD card.
- 6. What should I do if the device is not turned on or restarts repeatedly?
- First, ensure you are using the configured power cord. Using other power interfaces can cause this issue.
- Check if the power cord is correctly connected and if the cigarette lighter interface is providing normal power.
- If the power is normal and the device still reboots repeatedly, remove the TF card and perform a factory reset from the dashcam's settings.
- 7. What versions of phones does Carplay/Android Auto support?
- Apple phones: iOS 10 or higher.
- Android phones: Android 11 or higher.
- Huawei phones are also compatible.
- 8. Can I use the original car/other brand's rear camera?
- No. The device only supports the accompanying camera provided by Jansite. It is recommended to purchase an option that includes the camera.
- 9. Does it have an Android system? Can I use YouTube?
- The device does not run a full Android operating system. While you can mirror YouTube from your phone via Airplay/Android Cast, you cannot install apps directly on the device.
