5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to connect the controller board to your LCD panel. Ensure all power is disconnected before making any connections.

  1. Prepare the LCD Panel: Ensure your 20.1-inch LM201U05 LCD panel is clean and free from damage.
  2. Connect the LVDS Cable: Carefully connect the 30-pin signal cable (LVDS cable) to the 30P LVDS Interface on the main controller board and to the corresponding LVDS input on your LCD panel. Ensure correct orientation to avoid damage.
  3. Connect the Inverter Board: Connect the 6 CCFL Inverter Board to the Inverter connector on the main controller board. Then, connect the CCFL backlight cables from your LCD panel to the inverter board.
  4. Connect the Converter Board: Attach the small converter board to its designated connector on the main board, as shown in Figure 2.1.
  5. Connect the Keyboard: Plug the keyboard with its cable into the Keyboard connector on the main controller board. This will be used for OSD control.
  6. Connect Speakers (Optional): If using external speakers, connect them to the Speaker (4Pin PH1.25 connector) on the main board.
  7. Connect Power: Connect a 12Vdc power adapter (minimum 5A) to the DC 12V Power Supply connector (5.5x2.1mm barrel jack) on the main controller board. Do not apply power yet.
  8. Review Connections: Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure and correctly oriented. Incorrect connections can cause damage to the components.
  9. Apply Power: Once all connections are verified, connect the 12Vdc power adapter to a power source. The board should enter standby mode if no signal is detected.
  10. Connect HDMI Source: Connect your HDMI video source to the HDMI input on the controller board.

6.1. Basic Operation

  • Standby Mode: The board will automatically enter standby mode (<1W power consumption) when no input signal is detected.

6.2. On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

The OSD menu allows you to adjust various display settings. Access it using the buttons on the control keyboard or the remote control.

  • Menu Navigation: Use the arrow buttons on the keyboard/remote to navigate through the OSD menu options.
