1. Product Overview

The COLBOR SL20B Spotlight Mount is a versatile optical system designed to enhance the precision and output of your CL60 and CL100X series COB LED video lights. It allows for precise light shaping, increased brightness, and creative pattern projection, making it ideal for studio video, YouTube content creation, and outdoor shooting.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Attaching the Spotlight Mount to a Light Fixture

1. Ensure your COLBOR CL60 or CL100X series COB LED video light is powered off and cooled down.
2. Align the Bowens Mount design of the SL20B Spotlight Mount with the Bowens mount on your light fixture.
3. Insert the mount and rotate it clockwise until it locks securely into place.

Note: This accessory is NOT compatible with the CL60R fixture.

3.2 Interchanging Lenses

The SL20B comes with a 20° lens and supports an optional 35° lens for different beam angles.

1. To remove the current lens, locate the lens release mechanism (usually a small button or lever) and activate it while gently twisting and pulling the lens away from the mount.
2. To attach a new lens, align it with the mount and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.

3.3 Using Gobos and Gel Filters

The SL20B allows for creative light shaping using gobos and colored gel filters.

1. Insert your desired gobo into the Gobo Holder.
2. Slide the Gobo Holder into the designated slot on the Spotlight Mount. Ensure it is securely locked in place.
3. For colored lighting effects, place a colored gel filter into the Colored Gel Filter Holder and insert it into its slot.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On and Adjusting Brightness

1. Once the SL20B is securely attached to your COLBOR light, power on the light fixture.
2. Adjust the brightness settings directly on your COLBOR CL60 or CL100X light. The SL20B can increase the effective brightness of your light by up to 15 times.

4.2 Shaping the Light Beam

The SL20B features four built-in metal shutters to precisely shape the light output.

1. Locate the four metal shutters around the lens barrel.
2. Individually slide each shutter to cut off specific areas of the light beam, creating sharp edges and custom shapes.

4.3 Using Gobo Patterns and Colored Light

Utilize the included 30-piece gobo kit and colored gel filter holder to add creative flair to your lighting.

• Project various patterns onto backgrounds or subjects using the gobos.
• Experiment with different colored gel filters to achieve desired atmospheric effects.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your COLBOR SL20B Spotlight Mount, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the mount. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and cloth to avoid scratches.
• Storage: Store the spotlight mount in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use. Keep it away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Handling: Always handle the mount with care to prevent drops or impacts that could damage the optical components or housing.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your COLBOR SL20B Spotlight Mount, consider the following:

• No Light Output: Ensure the light fixture itself is properly powered on and functioning. Check that the SL20B is securely attached to the light's Bowens mount.
• Unclear or Distorted Projection: Verify that the lens is clean and free from smudges or dust. Ensure the lens is correctly seated and locked into the mount.
• Gobo/Filter Issues: Make sure gobos and gel filters are correctly inserted into their respective holders and that the holders are properly seated in the mount.
