The FEDOG F118 is available in two main configurations:

  • F118 Bell and Alarm: This version includes the high-volume horn, a built-in anti-theft alarm system, and a remote control for arming/disarming and sensitivity adjustment.
  • F118 Only Bell: This version provides the high-volume horn functionality only. It does not include the anti-theft alarm or remote control.

Please note that due to inventory, you may receive either a new or old appearance version of the product. The new version features letter markings on the surface, while the old version does not. Both versions are identical in functionality, quality, and performance.

5. Installation

The FEDOG F118 horn is designed for easy installation on various handlebars, fitting tube diameters from 20mm to 38mm.

  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a suitable position on your bicycle or scooter handlebar. The horn can be installed facing downward or forward to optimize space.
  2. Attach Bracket: Use the provided mounting bracket, bolts, and silicon gaskets to securely attach the horn unit to the handlebar. Ensure the bracket is tightened firmly with the mounting tool (socket wrench) to prevent movement.
  3. Mount Switch: The horn's switch comes with a gel strap for easy mounting. Attach the switch to a convenient location on your handlebar within reach. The wire length is 70cm, allowing for flexible positioning.
  4. Connect Cables: Ensure all cables are properly connected and routed safely, away from moving parts or areas where they could be snagged.

6. Operation

6.1 Horn Function (All Models)

To activate the horn, simply press the button on the handlebar-mounted switch. The horn will emit a loud 125dB sound.

6.2 Anti-Theft Alarm Function (F118 Bell and Alarm Model Only)

The F118 Bell and Alarm model comes with a remote control for managing the anti-theft features.

  • Arming the Alarm: Press the Lock Key on the remote control. The horn will sound once, indicating the alarm is armed. The device will then be in standby mode, ready to detect movement.
  • Disarming the Alarm: Press the UnLock Key on the remote control. The horn will sound twice, indicating the alarm is disarmed.
  • Adjusting Alarm Sensitivity: Long press the Alarm Sensitivity Adjustment key on the remote. The red light on the remote will flash to indicate the current sensitivity level:
    • 1 flash: Low Sensitivity
    • 2 flashes: Middle Sensitivity
    • 3 flashes: High Sensitivity
    Release the button when the desired sensitivity is reached.
  • Find Your Bike: Press the Find The Bike key on the remote to make the horn sound, helping you locate your vehicle.

Alarm Trigger Behavior:

  • High Sensitivity Mode: One movement triggers the horn for 5 seconds and then stops.
  • Middle Sensitivity Mode: One movement triggers the horn once. A second movement within 5 seconds triggers the horn for 5 seconds.
  • Low Sensitivity Mode: One movement triggers the horn once. A second movement triggers the horn once. A third movement triggers the horn for 5 seconds.

7. Charging the Device

The FEDOG F118 horn is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery and a Type-C USB charging port.

  1. Locate the Type-C USB charging port on the horn unit.
  2. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the horn and to a 5V (max 2A) USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank).
  3. The charging indicator light will glow RED while the device is charging.
  4. Once fully charged, the indicator light will turn BLUE.
  5. The design allows for convenient charging without needing to remove the horn from your bike.
