Power Plug Wiring

The power plug consists of several wires, each with a specific function:

  • Yellow (B+): Constant Power Supply (+12V). Keeps power on for memory function.
  • Red (ACC): Ignition Switch.
  • Black (GND): Ground Wire.
  • Orange (ILLUMINATION): Illuminates Backlight.
  • Pink (REVERSE): Reversing camera control line.
  • Brown (KEY2) & Orange/Black Striped (KEY1): Steering Wheel Control lines.
  • Blue (ANT): Auto Antenna Power.
  • Speaker Wires: White/Black Striped (Front Left), Gray/Black Striped (Front Right), Green/Black Striped (Rear Left), Purple/Black Striped (Rear Right). Each speaker cable must not be grounded or shared with other lines to prevent sound distortion or unit damage.

Note: The unit will turn on normally when both the yellow (B+) and red (ACC) lines receive a 12V positive power simultaneously.

Reversing Camera Installation

To install the reversing camera:

  1. Locate the reverse control line (pink wire) on the unit's power line and connect it to a +12V positive pole. The screen should turn blue.
  2. Find the CAM video input interface on the back of the unit, and locate the positive and negative poles of the backup light.
  3. Connect the red socket of the camera to the power cable, and the yellow to the video cable. The red wire of the power cable and the video cable should be screwed together to the positive pole of the reverse lamp. The black wire of the power cable is not used.
  4. Connect the other end of the video cable to the CAM video input interface on the back of the unit. The red line coming out of the video line is connected to the reversing control line of the power line.

Important: If the reversing camera is not installed, do not connect the REVERSE/BACK cable to any place. Leave it unconnected to avoid improper display or automatic entry into reverse mode, which can cause malfunction.

6. Troubleshooting

Common Problems and Solutions

  1. Cannot boot normally

    • Ensure the yellow (B+), red (ACC), and black (GND) wires are correctly connected to positive, key control, and negative poles respectively. Incorrect or insufficient connections will prevent booting.
    • Do not connect the original car plug directly to the new unit. Use the provided wiring harness.
    • Check the fuse on the yellow line. If intact, twist the yellow and red wires together, turn the key, and press the power button to test.
    • If fuses repeatedly burn out, it indicates a short circuit in the unit's protection circuit. Seek professional repair. Before returning, confirm the unit is truly faulty by testing with a separate 12V battery/power supply.
  2. Automatic shut-down

    • If the blue (automatic antenna power supply) cable is connected to the unit's power cable, automatic shutdown will occur. Correct the wiring.
    • Unstable voltage can cause automatic shutdown. Test with a stable 12V-5A power supply. If it still shuts down, replace the power supply. If it doesn't shut down with a stable power supply, the unit is faulty.
  3. Noise present

    • If the original speaker power is too low, noise will occur at high volumes. Reduce volume or replace speakers.
    • If the speaker cable is grounded, connect the iron speaker cable directly to the unit's speaker cable.
  4. Remote control cannot be used

    • Test by pointing the remote at a mobile phone camera and pressing a button. If the phone screen lights up, the remote has power. If not, replace the battery.
  5. Settings cannot be saved (no memory)

    • Ensure the yellow and red lines are connected separately (yellow to positive, red to key control).
    • If yellow and red are reversed, swap their positions.
  6. Bluetooth not working

    • Turn on the unit, search for its Bluetooth name on your mobile phone, and click Connect.
  7. Product emits smoke

    • Replace the FUSE. If the problem persists, the internal circuit is burned. After-sales service is required.
  8. Sound cannot be adjusted

    • Reset the unit or unplug and replug the power cord.
    • If the volume knob is broken, it can be replaced.
  9. Reversing camera does not display

    • Check for wrong or missing wiring. Ensure the camera line is properly connected to the "CAMIN" port.
    • If the camera is broken, replace it.
  10. USB devices cannot be played

    • Format the USB flash drive to FAT32. Re-download songs and try again. If it still doesn't work, replace the USB flash drive.
  11. FM does not receive radio stations

    • Ensure the antenna plug is fully inserted and connected.
    • Perform an automatic station search using the AS button.
    • If issues persist, unplug the antenna plug and insert a screwdriver or metal strip into the antenna port as a temporary antenna.
  12. No sound immediately after installation

    • Check if speaker cables are short-circuited or incorrectly connected. Reconnect if necessary.
    • Verify the number of speaker cables. If only 2 speaker cables are present and the original car line does not match, re-route the original car line. Each speaker requires 2 wires.
  13. No sound after a while

    • Disconnect all speaker cables from the unit. Connect an external speaker to the gray and purple wires of the tail line. If there is sound, the car's speaker line is short-circuited or the speaker is damaged. If there is no sound, the unit is broken.

7. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your BQCC car radio, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for and install official software updates to ensure the best performance and access to new features.
  • Fuse Replacement: If a fuse blows, replace it with a fuse of the same type and rating (e.g., 10A). If fuses repeatedly blow, consult a professional.
  • Volume Knob: If the volume knob becomes faulty, it can be replaced. Contact support for guidance.
  • USB Devices: Ensure USB flash drives are formatted to FAT32 for optimal compatibility.

8. Warranty and Support

BQCC Warranty

The product comes with a 1-year manufacturer's limited warranty for defective items (excluding damages and/or misuse). Accessories typically have a 3-month warranty. 9. User Tips

  • Initial Test: Always test the car radio unit with a 12V power supply before full installation in the vehicle to ensure it functions correctly after transit.
  • Wiring Accuracy: Pay close attention to the wiring diagram, especially for power and speaker connections. Incorrect wiring is a common cause of issues.
  • Camera Connection: For reversing camera functionality, ensure the camera's video output is connected to the 'CAMIN' port on the car radio.
  • Remote Control Check: If the remote control isn't working, use a phone camera to check if its IR emitter is active when buttons are pressed. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • Software Updates: Keep the system updated. Functions may change with software updates, so refer to the latest information if available.
