8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SNAKOL Laser Distance Meter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Device does not turn on: Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the right polarity. Ensure the batteries have sufficient charge. Replace with new batteries if necessary.
  • "Err 21" displayed: This error typically indicates that the measurement could not be completed successfully. This might be due to the laser beam being obstructed, the target surface being too reflective or too dark, or the measurement exceeding the device's range. Try measuring a different surface or within the specified range.
  • Inaccurate measurements: Ensure the laser lens is clean. Verify the measurement reference point (front or rear of the device) is correctly set for your task.
  • Laser not visible: The laser might be difficult to see in bright sunlight. Try using the device in shaded areas or indoors.

9. User Tips

  • Bluetooth Connectivity: While some images may show a Bluetooth-like symbol, this model series does not support Bluetooth connectivity with tablets or mobile phones. The symbol is part of the general display template.
  • Outdoor Use: For outdoor measurements, especially in bright conditions, try using a target plate to improve laser visibility and measurement accuracy.
  • Stable Measurements: For critical measurements, place the device on a stable surface or use a tripod to minimize movement and ensure accuracy.
