5. Setup Guide

5.1 Powering the Device

  • The BR05 SE is powered by USB charging and does not have a built-in battery.
  • Connect the provided Type-C Power Cable to the receiver's power interface (5V) and to a suitable USB power source.
  • Important: We recommend using a 5V1A charger to power the adapter. Insufficient voltage or current may lead to current sound or noise during operation.
  • The receiver will automatically turn on once connected to power.

5.2 Connecting to Audio System

Connect the BR05 SE to your wired speakers, car stereo, or amplifier using either the 3.5mm AUX audio cable or the RCA audio cable, depending on your audio system's input ports.

  • Using 3.5mm AUX: Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the receiver's AUX port and the other end to your audio system's 3.5mm input.
  • Using RCA: Connect the RCA audio cable to the receiver's R/L RCA ports and the corresponding R/L input ports on your audio system.

6. Operation

6.1 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the BR05 SE is powered on.
  2. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to Bluetooth settings.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "BR05 SE" from the list of devices to connect.
  5. Once connected, you can enjoy wireless music streaming.

6.2 NFC One-Touch Connection

  • Ensure your smartphone or tablet has NFC enabled.
  • Tap your NFC-enabled device to the NFC sensing area on the BR05 SE receiver.
  • The devices will automatically connect or disconnect.

6.3 EQ Sound Effects

  • The receiver features a rotary button and dedicated buttons for EQ modes.
  • Press the corresponding button on the receiver to cycle through the 5 EQ modes: Normal, Classic, Popular, Rock, and Jazz.
  • Select the preferred EQ mode to match your music genre or personal preference.

6.4 TF Card Playback

  • Insert a TF card (not included) with your music files into the TF Card Slot on the receiver.
  • The receiver will automatically switch to TF Card Mode or you can manually select it using the Audio Source Switching function.
  • Music will play directly from the TF card with high quality and no transmission delay.

6.5 Hands-Free Calling

  • When connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, the built-in microphone allows for hands-free calls.
  • Answer or end calls directly through your connected phone.
  • Navigation audio from your phone will also be played through the connected audio system.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage the internal circuitry.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures.
  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No power/Device not turning on: Ensure the Type-C power cable is securely connected to a 5V1A power source.
  • No sound or poor sound quality (noise/current sound):
    • Verify that the audio cables (AUX or RCA) are correctly connected to both the receiver and your audio system.
    • Check if the power source provides sufficient voltage and current (recommended 5V1A). Insufficient power can cause audio interference.
    • Ensure the volume on both the receiver and your connected audio system is turned up.
  • Unable to pair via Bluetooth:
    • Make sure the receiver is powered on and within the 10-meter Bluetooth range of your device.
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your transmitting device and it is in pairing mode.
    • Forget previous Bluetooth connections on your device and try searching for "BR05 SE" again.
  • NFC connection not working:
    • Confirm that NFC is enabled on your smartphone/tablet.
    • Ensure you are tapping the NFC-enabled device directly onto the NFC sensing area of the receiver.
  • TF card not playing:
    • Ensure the TF card is inserted correctly into the slot.
    • Check if the music files on the TF card are in a compatible format.
    • Verify that the receiver is in TF Card Mode.

9. User Tips

  • Optimal Power Supply: Always use a stable 5V1A USB power adapter for the best audio performance and to prevent unwanted noise.
  • EQ Customization: Experiment with the different EQ modes (Normal, Classic, Popular, Rock, Jazz) to find the perfect sound profile for your music and listening environment. These modes adjust the audio characteristics, they do not contain built-in music.
  • NFC Convenience: For quick connections, ensure your phone's NFC is active and simply tap it to the receiver. This is faster than manual Bluetooth pairing.
  • Versatile Use: This receiver is designed for audio transmission only. It cannot be used for data transfer with devices like keyboards or mice.
