4. Controller Layout

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and features of your GAMINJA P3 Wireless Controller:

  • D-Pad: Directional Pad for movement and menu navigation.

5. Setup and Connection

5.1 Connecting to PlayStation 3

  1. Ensure your PS3 console is powered on.
  2. Connect the GAMINJA P3 controller to the PS3 console using the provided USB charging cable.
  3. Press the P3 (Home) button on the controller. The controller will automatically pair with the console.
  4. Once paired, the indicator lights on the controller will show its assigned player number. You can then disconnect the USB cable for wireless play.
  5. To connect additional controllers, repeat the process for each controller.

5.2 Connecting to PC (Windows)

The GAMINJA P3 controller can be used with a PC via USB or Bluetooth. For optimal performance, a wired connection is often recommended for PC gaming, or ensure your PC has a compatible Bluetooth adapter.

Wired Connection:

  1. Connect the controller to your PC using the USB charging cable.
  2. Your PC should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This may take a few moments.
  3. The controller will typically be recognized as a generic gamepad. You may need to configure button mappings within your game settings.

Bluetooth Connection:

  1. Ensure your PC has Bluetooth enabled.
  2. On your PC, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Add Bluetooth or other device".
  3. Select "Bluetooth" and wait for your PC to search for devices.
  4. With the controller off, press and hold the P3 (Home) button until the indicator lights flash rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  5. Select "Wireless Controller" or a similar name from the list of available devices on your PC.
  6. Once paired, the indicator lights on the controller will stop flashing and remain solid.
  7. You may need third-party software (e.g., DS4Windows for PlayStation controllers) to fully utilize all features like motion control or vibration on PC, depending on the game.

6. Operating Instructions

  • Power On: Press the P3 (Home) button to turn on the controller.
  • Power Off: To turn off the controller, hold the P3 (Home) button for approximately 10 seconds until the indicator lights turn off. The controller will also automatically power off after a period of inactivity to save battery.
  • Motion Sensing: The 6-axis motion sensing feature allows for intuitive control in games that support it. Tilt, shake, and rotate the controller to interact with the game environment.
  • Vibration Feedback: The controller features dual vibration motors for immersive haptic feedback during gameplay.

7. Charging the Controller

The GAMINJA P3 controller has a built-in rechargeable battery.

  1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the Charging Port on the front of the controller (refer to Figure 5).
  2. Connect the larger end of the USB charging cable to a USB port on your PS3 console, PC, or a compatible USB wall adapter.
  3. During charging, the indicator lights on the controller may flash. They will typically stop flashing or change color when fully charged.
  4. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 8 hours of playtime.

8. Care and Maintenance

  • Keep the controller dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or liquids.
  • Do not expose the controller to extreme temperatures.
  • Clean the controller with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Store the controller in a safe place when not in use to prevent damage.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the controller to strong impacts.

9. Troubleshooting

Q: The controller does not connect to my PS3.
A: Ensure the controller is charged. Connect it to the PS3 with the USB cable and press the P3 (Home) button to initiate pairing. If it still doesn't connect, try resetting the controller by inserting a thin object (like a paperclip) into the small reset hole on the back of the controller, then attempt pairing again.
Q: The controller is not recognized by my PC.
A: For wired connection, ensure the USB cable is securely connected and try a different USB port. For Bluetooth, ensure your PC's Bluetooth is enabled and the controller is in pairing mode. You may need to manually install drivers or use third-party software for full compatibility with some PC games.
Q: Motion control (Sixaxis) is not working on PS3.
A: Ensure the game you are playing supports Sixaxis motion control. Some games may require specific in-game settings to enable this feature. If the issue persists, try resetting the controller.
Q: The controller's battery drains quickly.
A: Ensure the controller is fully charged before use (approx. 2 hours). Heavy vibration feedback or continuous motion sensing can consume more power. If the issue persists, the battery may be degrading.
