1. Introduction
The Yottamaster DM200 MetaCube is a dual-bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) device designed for personal and home use, offering up to 44TB of storage capacity. It functions as a personal data center, enabling automatic backup, intelligent classification, remote access, and secure data sharing. This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your DM200 NAS.

What is a NAS Network SSD Enclosure?
For the average home user, a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device like the Yottamaster MetaCube provides a personal or home storage solution. After installing SATA hard disks and connecting to your home network, you can store all your digital content in your own private storage device. It supports automatic backup of photos and videos from your phone, as well as synchronous backup of PC and Mac data. By keeping the device online, you can quickly access and share your content anytime, anywhere with an internet connection.

3. Setup Guide
3.1 Hard Drive Installation
The Yottamaster DM200 is a diskless system, meaning hard drives are not included and must be purchased separately. It is compatible with both 3.5-inch HDD/SSD and 2.5-inch SSDs. Each bay supports up to 22TB, for a total maximum capacity of 44TB.
Note: Please refer to the specific instructions provided with your hard drives for proper installation into the NAS bays. Use the included screwdriver if necessary.
3.2 Connecting the Device
- Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port on the back of the DM200 and the other end to your router or network switch.
- Connect the power adapter to the DC 12V 5A input port on the DM200 and plug it into a power outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
3.3 Software Setup (Weline APP)
To manage and access your Yottamaster DM200, you will need to download and install the Weline APP. The Weline APP is compatible with most operating systems, including PC and mobile devices.
- Download the Weline APP from the official Yottamaster website or your device's app store.
- Install the application on your computer or mobile device.
- Follow the in-app instructions to discover and connect to your DM200 NAS on your network.
- Complete the initial setup, including creating user accounts and configuring network settings.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Data Backup
The DM200 supports automatic backup of high-resolution photos and videos from your mobile devices without compression, freeing up storage on your phone. It also allows for synchronous backup of data from your PC and Mac.

4.2 Data Sharing and Remote Access
The Yottamaster DM200 allows you to share stored family photos, videos, and other content with friends and family. With an internet connection, you can access your data anytime, anywhere. The device features SDVN encryption technology to secure your data during sharing.

4.3 Intelligent Functions

4.4 Storage Management (RAID Modes)
The DM200 supports multiple array storage modes to ensure your data is flexible, secure, and stable. These include LVM, RAID 0, and RAID 1.
- LVM (Logical Volume Manager): Provides flexible storage management, allowing you to combine multiple physical disks into a single logical volume.
- RAID 0 (High Speed Mode): Stripes data across multiple disks, offering increased performance but no data redundancy.
- RAID 1 (Backup Mode): Mirrors data across two disks, providing data redundancy and protection against single disk failure.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Heat Dissipation
The DM200 is equipped with a built-in low-noise, high-speed fan and a hollow design on the back to ensure fast heat dissipation, keeping the device stable during operation.

5.2 General Care
- Keep the device in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
- Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity.
- Clean the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Ensure the fan vents are clear of dust and obstructions.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Device Not Powering On
- Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and a working power outlet.
- Ensure the power button has been pressed firmly.
- Try a different power outlet.
6.2 Cannot Access NAS on Network
- Verify that the Ethernet cable is properly connected to both the NAS and your router/switch.
- Ensure your router is functioning correctly and providing network access.
- Check if the NAS has obtained an IP address from your router. This can usually be found in your router's administration interface.
- Restart the NAS and your router.
- Ensure the Weline APP is installed and configured correctly to discover the device.
6.3 Slow Data Transfer Speeds
- Ensure your network cables are Cat5e or Cat6 for optimal Gigabit Ethernet performance.
- Check for network congestion. Other devices on your network might be consuming bandwidth.
- Verify that your router supports Gigabit Ethernet.
- Ensure hard drives are healthy and not experiencing performance issues.
6.4 Hard Drive Not Detected
- Ensure hard drives are correctly installed and seated in their bays.
- Check if the hard drives are compatible (3.5-inch HDD/SSD or 2.5-inch SSD).
- Try restarting the NAS.
- If possible, test the hard drive in another device to confirm it is functional.
