2.1 Front Panel and Display

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The AMT-560 operates on two AA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when installing.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.

  4. Close the battery cover securely.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Press and hold the METRO button to power the device on or off.
  • The device features an automatic shutdown function to save battery life. It will also save current parameters upon shutdown.

4.2 Switching Modes (Tuner, Metronome, Sound)

The AMT-560 has three primary modes: Tuner, Metronome, and Sound (Pitch Fixer/Tone Generator).

  • To switch between Metronome and Tuner modes: Press the M/T button.
  • To enter Sound (Pitch Fixer) mode: Press the ♪ (Sound/Value) button.

4.3 Tuner Mode

The tuner supports Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, Violin, and Ukulele tuning.

  1. Press the M/T button until 'TUNER' is displayed.
  2. To select instrument/tuning type: Long press the M/T button. Use the or buttons to cycle through Chromatic (C), Guitar (G), Bass (B), Violin (V), and Ukulele (U).
  3. Input: Play a note on your instrument. The tuner will detect the pitch via its built-in microphone or connected pickup.
  4. Display: The LCD will show the note name and a meter indicating whether the pitch is flat, sharp, or in tune. The LED indicator light will also provide visual feedback (e.g., green for in-tune).
  5. Adjusting A4 Calibration: In Tuner mode, press the or buttons to adjust the A4 reference pitch (typically 440Hz).

4.4 Metronome Mode

The metronome provides a steady beat for practice.

  1. Press the M/T button until 'METRO' is displayed.
  2. To start/stop the metronome: Press the METRO button.
  3. To adjust Tempo (BPM): Use the or buttons to increase or decrease the tempo.
  4. To select Beat (Time Signature): Press the M/T button (short press) to cycle through different beat patterns (e.g., 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, etc.).
  5. To select Rhythm: Press the ♪ (Sound/Value) button to cycle through different rhythm subdivisions.
  6. Adjust Volume: Use the Volume Dial on the side of the device.

4.5 Sound (Pitch Fixer/Tone Generator) Mode

This mode generates a reference tone for ear training or manual tuning.

  1. Press the ♪ (Sound/Value) button until 'SOUND' is displayed.
  2. To select the desired note: Use the or buttons to cycle through different notes (e.g., C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B).
  3. The device will output the selected tone through its speaker or headphones.
  4. Note: To enter the pitch fixing function while in tuning mode, press the ♪ (Sound/Value) button.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace AA batteries promptly when the display dims or performance degrades. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Storage: Store the AMT-560 in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

  • Device does not power on: Check if batteries are installed correctly and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
