3.3 Wireless Connection (2.4G)

The GWF4 uses a 2.4G wireless connection to pair with your GTRS guitar or Prime P1 smart guitar effect pedal. Refer to your GTRS guitar or Prime P1 manual for specific pairing instructions. Generally, you will need to activate pairing mode on both devices, and they should connect automatically.

4. Operating Instructions

Once connected, the GWF4 footswitch allows you to control various functions of your compatible guitar equipment.

4.1 Footswitch Functions (A, B, C, D)

The four footswitch buttons (A, B, C, D) are typically assigned to control different presets or effects within your connected GTRS guitar or Prime P1 pedal. The specific functions may vary depending on the device and its current settings. Consult the manual of your GTRS guitar or Prime P1 for detailed information on footswitch assignments.

4.2 Changing Presets and Tone Settings

Pressing the assigned footswitch buttons will cycle through or directly select presets and tone settings. This allows for quick changes during live performance without needing to interact directly with the guitar or pedal's interface.

4.3 Tap Tempo Settings

The GWF4 supports tap tempo functionality. Typically, one of the footswitches can be designated for tap tempo. Repeatedly tapping this switch at your desired tempo will synchronize time-based effects (e.g., delay, tremolo) to that tempo.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the footswitch, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes. Ensure no liquids enter the device.

5.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% and recharge every few months. Use only the provided charging cable and a compatible 5V=1A power adapter.

5.3 General Care

Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight. Do not drop or subject the footswitch to strong impacts. As indicated on the device, removal of screws will void the warranty.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the charging cable and try again. Check the power switch position.
  • No wireless connection: Make sure both the GWF4 and your GTRS guitar/Prime P1 are powered on and within range. Re-initiate the pairing process as described in your guitar/pedal's manual. Check for any obstructions or interference from other 2.4G devices.
  • Footswitches unresponsive: Verify the wireless connection is active. If connected, try restarting both the footswitch and the connected guitar/pedal. Ensure the footswitch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, refer to your guitar/pedal manual).
  • Short battery life: Ensure the device is fully charged before use. Battery performance can degrade over time. Avoid operating in extremely cold environments.
