5. Installation and Wiring

The BQCC JSD-530 is designed for standard 1-DIN in-dash installation. The installation dimensions are approximately 178mm x 50mm. Ensure your vehicle's dashboard opening matches these dimensions.

5.1 Wiring Instructions

Proper wiring is crucial for the correct operation and longevity of the unit. Refer to the wiring diagram below and follow these guidelines:

  • Yellow Wire (B+): Connect to a constant 12V power source in your vehicle. This wire provides continuous power to retain settings and memory.
  • Red Wire (ACC): Connect to the vehicle's ignition switch (key cable). This wire provides 12V when the car is started and 0V when it is off.
  • Black Wire (GND): Connect to a reliable ground point (negative terminal) in your vehicle.
  • Speaker Wires: Connect the speaker wires according to the color codes and polarity indicated on the wiring harness and your vehicle's speaker system. Incorrect speaker wiring can damage the amplifier chip.
  • Radio Antenna: Connect your car's radio antenna to the designated input on the rear of the unit.
  • RCA Output: If connecting an external amplifier or subwoofer, use the RCA audio output jacks.

5.2 Wiring Protection Feature

This unit includes an automatic power-off protection feature. If the power cord is wired incorrectly (e.g., reversed polarity), the unit will automatically shut down to prevent damage to its internal components. This protects the main board and fuse from burning out, which would otherwise prevent the machine from starting.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BQCC JSD-530, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Unit does not turn on / Screen not working
  • Check power cable connections: Ensure Yellow wire (B+) is connected to constant 12V, Red wire (ACC) to ignition 12V, and Black wire to negative ground.
  • Verify the ignition cable (ACC) provides 12V when the car is started and 0V when off.
  • Check for blown fuses in both the car's electrical system and the unit itself.
No sound from speakers
  • Check speaker wire connections. Ensure they are connected correctly according to the manual's interface definition to prevent damage to the amplifier chip.
Unit does not remember last radio station/settings
  • Check if the Red (ACC) and Yellow (B+) wires are reversed. The Yellow wire (B+) must always be connected to a constant 12V source.
Cannot read/play USB or SD card music/videos
  • Use 8GB or 16GB storage cards/USB drives. Some large-capacity devices may not be supported.
  • Format the storage device to ensure its file system is the default value.
  • Ensure media files are in common formats (MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE). Partially encoded files may not be recognized.
Bluetooth connection fails or functions abnormally
  • Ensure your mobile phone is searching for "CAR BT" or "CAR KIT".
  • Delete any previously paired but unconnected Bluetooth devices from your phone's settings. Conflicting pairings can cause issues.
