Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

Device not connecting to WiFi:
Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The device does not support 5GHz networks. Check your WiFi password and ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone during pairing. Try resetting the device by holding the reset button for 10 seconds until the red light blinks rapidly.
Remote control not working after programming:
Verify that the correct dip switch combination was selected for your remote control's brand and frequency. Re-attempt the programming procedure carefully. Ensure your remote is not a 'clone code' type, as the smart receiver may not be compatible with them.
Garage door not responding to app/voice commands:
Check if the receiver has power and is connected to WiFi (blue LED should be steady). Ensure the app is updated and the device is properly linked to Alexa or Google Assistant. Verify the wiring connections to your garage door opener.
Compatibility with specific garage door openers (e.g., Moovo MCI1, Faac C720):
The receiver is designed to be universal. For specific models, ensure the opener provides a dry contact input (momentary pulse) for activation. If unsure, consult the manufacturer of your garage door opener or a professional installer.

User Tips

  • When connecting to your garage door opener, ensure you are connecting to the correct terminals that trigger a momentary pulse for opening/closing.
  • For optimal RF performance, ensure the antenna is not obstructed and is positioned for best signal reception.
  • If you have multiple remote controls, program each one individually to the receiver, ensuring the correct dip switch settings are applied for each brand/frequency.
  • Consider using the scheduling feature for routine tasks, like closing the garage door at night, to enhance security and convenience.
