2. Charging the Device

  • Connect the USB Type-C cable to the device's Type-C port.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (5V2A recommended) or a computer's USB port.
  • The device will indicate charging status (e.g., a charging light).

3. Powering On/Off

  • To power on: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position, then press and hold the Power button until the indicator lights illuminate.
  • To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator lights turn off.

4. Initial Wi-Fi Connection

  • Once powered on, the device will broadcast a Wi-Fi signal.
  • On your computer or mobile device, search for available Wi-Fi networks.
  • The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password are typically found on a sticker inside the battery compartment or on the device itself.
  • Select the MiFi's SSID and enter the password to connect.

1. Understanding Indicator Lights

  • WiFi Light: Solid indicates Wi-Fi is active. Blinking may indicate data transfer.
  • 5G Light: Solid indicates connection to a 5G network.
  • 4G Light: Solid indicates connection to a 4G network.
  • Power Light: Indicates power status and battery level (e.g., green for sufficient, red for low).

2. Managing APN Settings

In some regions, you may need to manually configure the Access Point Name (APN) settings for your SIM card to access the internet. If you experience connectivity issues after inserting a SIM card, contact your mobile network provider for the correct APN settings and then follow these general steps:

  1. Connect your device (e.g., laptop, smartphone) to the MiFi's Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open a web browser and enter the MiFi's default IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or similar, found on the sticker).
  3. Log in to the web management interface using the default username and password (also on the sticker, often 'admin').
  4. Navigate to the network settings or APN settings section.
  5. Enter the APN details provided by your mobile network operator.
  6. Save the settings and restart the MiFi if prompted.

3. Wi-Fi 6 Features

The OFS-SRM115 supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for faster speeds and improved efficiency, especially in congested network environments. To benefit from Wi-Fi 6, ensure your connecting devices also support Wi-Fi 6.
