Please read this manual carefully before installation and operation to ensure proper use and optimal performance.

3. Setup

3.1 Panel Introduction

Familiarize yourself with the front panel controls and ports:

  • MIC: Microphone input for hands-free calls.
  • RES: Reset button (use a thin object to press).
  • Power Button: Press to turn on/off or mute.
  • Volume +/-: Adjust volume levels.
  • SD Card Slot: Insert SD card for media playback.
  • AUX Output: Audio auxiliary output.
  • USB Interface: Connect USB devices for media playback, CarPlay, or Android Auto.
  • IR: Infrared receiver for remote control.

3.2 Wiring Diagram

Proper wiring is crucial for the functionality and safety of your car MP5 player. Refer to the diagram below and ensure all connections are secure.

  • Yellow Wire (B+): Connect to the 12V constant power supply of your vehicle. This ensures settings and memory are retained.
  • Red Wire (ACC): Connect to the vehicle's ignition switch (ACC) power supply. This wire should receive 12V when the ignition is on and 0V when off.
  • Black Wire (GND): Connect to the vehicle's chassis ground.
  • Speaker Wires: Connect to your vehicle's speakers according to polarity (e.g., White/White-Black for Left Front, Grey/Grey-Black for Right Front, Green/Green-Black for Left Rear, Purple/Purple-Black for Right Rear). Ensure correct polarity to avoid sound issues.
  • Reverse Camera Input: Connect the video output of your reverse camera to the 'CAM IN' or 'REVERSE' input on the unit. The reverse trigger wire (usually pink or brown) should be connected to the vehicle's reverse light circuit.
  • Antenna: Connect your car's radio antenna to the antenna input.

Warning: Incorrect wiring can damage the unit or your vehicle's electrical system. If you are unsure, seek professional installation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operations

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button on the front panel or remote control.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the Volume +/- buttons on the panel or remote.
  • Menu Navigation: Use the touch screen to navigate through menus and select functions.

4.2 CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your smartphone via a USB cable to the unit's USB port to activate CarPlay or Android Auto. This allows you to access navigation, music, calls, and messages directly from the car's display.

4.3 Mirrorlink

Mirrorlink allows you to project your smartphone's screen onto the MP5 player's display. This feature is compatible with both Apple and Android phones. Connect your phone via USB and follow the on-screen prompts to enable Mirrorlink.

4.4 Bluetooth Connection

The unit features Bluetooth 5.0 for stable wireless connectivity. To pair your device:

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. On the MP5 player, go to the Bluetooth menu.
  3. Search for available devices on your phone. The unit's Bluetooth name will typically be "CAR BT" or "CAR KIT".
  4. Select the unit to pair. If prompted, enter the default PIN (usually 0000 or 1234).

Once connected, you can make/receive calls and stream audio wirelessly.

4.5 FM Radio

Access the FM radio function to listen to local stations. The frequency range is 87.5-108.0MHz. You can manually tune, auto-scan, and save your favorite stations.

4.6 USB/SD Playback

Insert a USB flash drive or SD card into the respective ports. The unit supports various media formats including MP3, MP4, and JPEG. Navigate to the media player to browse and play your files.

4.7 Steering Wheel Control Learning

This feature allows you to map your vehicle's steering wheel buttons to control the MP5 player. Access the 'Steering Wheel Learning' menu in the settings and follow the on-screen instructions to assign functions to your steering wheel buttons.

4.8 Reverse Camera Function

If an external reverse camera is connected, the display will automatically switch to the rear view when the vehicle is put into reverse gear. This aids in safe parking and maneuvering.

4.9 Button Lighting

Customize the color of the physical buttons on the unit. You can choose from seven different colors (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Cyan, Purple, White) or set them to cycle automatically.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and unit. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Temperature: Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Moisture: Keep the unit dry. Moisture can cause damage.
  • Fuse Replacement: If the unit stops working, check the vehicle's fuse box and the unit's inline fuse (if present) for blown fuses. Replace with a fuse of the same rating.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your MP5 player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
