1. Introduction

The RSH Smart Tag2 is a compact Bluetooth tracker designed to help you locate your personal items quickly and efficiently. It seamlessly integrates with Apple's 'Find My' network, allowing you to track keys, wallets, luggage, and other valuables directly from your iOS device. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your Smart Tag2.

4. Setup Instructions

The RSH Smart Tag2 is designed to work exclusively with Apple's 'Find My' app on iOS devices. Ensure your device is running a compatible iOS version.

4.1. Unboxing and Initial Activation

  1. Carefully open the Smart Tag2 packaging.
  2. Locate the battery insulation tab protruding from the side of the Smart Tag2. Pull this tab out completely to activate the device. You should hear a chime indicating it's powered on.

4.2. Pairing with Apple Find My

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Find My app.
  2. Tap the Items tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap Add Item, then select Other Supported Item.
  4. The app will begin searching for nearby items. Ensure your Smart Tag2 is close to your iOS device.
  5. Once 'Locasync' (the manufacturer's name for the tag) appears, tap Connect.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to name your item (e.g., 'Keys', 'Wallet', 'Luggage') and choose an emoji to represent it.
  7. Confirm your settings to complete the pairing process. Your Smart Tag2 is now linked to your Apple ID and visible in the Find My app.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Finding Items Nearby

When your Smart Tag2 is within Bluetooth range (up to 250ft/75m), you can use the 'Find My' app to locate it:

  1. Open the Find My app and select the desired item from the Items tab.
  2. Tap Play Sound. The Smart Tag2 will emit a loud beep, guiding you to its location.
  3. Tap Stop Sound once you've found your item.

5.2. Finding Items Far Away

If your Smart Tag2 is out of Bluetooth range, the Apple 'Find My' network can help you locate it. This network uses hundreds of millions of Apple devices worldwide to detect your Smart Tag2 and relay its location to you privately and securely.

  1. Open the Find My app and select the desired item.
  2. The app will display the item's last known location on a map.
  3. Tap Directions to get guided navigation to the item's location.

5.3. Left Behind Reminder (Anti-Lost)

To receive alerts when you leave an item behind:

  1. In the Find My app, select your Smart Tag2.
  2. Scroll down and enable Notify When Left Behind.
  3. You can also set exceptions for specific locations where you don't want to be notified (e.g., your home).

5.4. Lost Mode

If you've lost your item and can't find it, you can put your Smart Tag2 into Lost Mode:

  1. In the Find My app, select your Smart Tag2.
  2. Scroll down to Lost Mode and tap Enable.
  3. Follow the instructions to enter a phone number or email address where you can be contacted if someone finds your item.
  4. You will receive a notification when your item is located by the Find My network.

5.5. Removing an Item

If you wish to unpair your Smart Tag2 from your Apple ID, for example, to give it to another user:

  1. Open the Find My app and select the item you wish to remove.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and tap Remove Item.
  3. Confirm the removal. Once removed, the item can be set up by another person.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

The Smart Tag2 uses a replaceable CR2032 button cell battery, which typically lasts over a year. When the battery is low, you may receive a notification on your iOS device.

  1. Locate the small groove on the side of the Smart Tag2.
  2. Insert the provided pick tool (or a similar thin, flat object) into the groove and gently twist to open the casing.
  3. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
  4. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  5. Align the two halves of the casing and press firmly until it clicks securely into place.

6.2. Cleaning

To clean your Smart Tag2, wipe it with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
