3.2 Terminal Connection
The battery is equipped with M8 terminals. Ensure all connections are secure and properly tightened to prevent arcing and ensure optimal performance. Always connect the positive (+) terminal to positive and the negative (-) terminal to negative.
3.3 Series and Parallel Connection
The jsdsolar LiFePO4 battery supports both series and parallel connections to achieve higher voltage or capacity. The maximum configuration supported is 4 series and 4 parallel (4S4P), allowing for a maximum energy output of 10.24 kWh.
- Series Connection: Connect the positive terminal of one battery to the negative terminal of the next battery to increase the total voltage.
- Parallel Connection: Connect positive terminals together and negative terminals together to increase the total capacity while maintaining the same voltage.
Important: When connecting batteries in series or parallel, ensure all batteries are of the same voltage, capacity, and state of charge. Consult a qualified technician if you are unsure about wiring configurations.

4. Operation
4.1 Charging Methods
Your jsdsolar LiFePO4 battery can be charged using three primary methods:
- Solar Panel + Charge Controller: Connect solar panels to an appropriate MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charge controller, which then connects to the battery.
- Dedicated LiFePO4 Battery Charger: Use a charger specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries with a DC output voltage of 14.2V-14.6V (for 12.8V batteries) or 29.2V ± 0.2V (for 25.6V batteries).
- Generator + DC-DC Charger: An electric generator can be used in conjunction with a DC-DC charger to replenish the battery.
Note: Due to different charging times, it is recommended to choose only one charging method at a time.

4.2 Temperature Protection
The battery features a built-in low-temperature sensor to protect against damage. Charging will cut off at 0°C (32°F) and discharging will cut off at -20°C (-4°F) to ensure battery longevity and safety.

4.3 Bluetooth Monitoring
The Bluetooth version of the battery allows for convenient monitoring of battery status via a dedicated app on your smartphone. This provides real-time data on voltage, current, temperature, and state of charge.
5. Maintenance
- Storage: Store the battery in a cool, dry place (0 to 45℃ / 32 to 113℉) with 60±25% relative humidity.
- Long-term Storage: If the battery is not used for an extended period, perform a charge and discharge cycle every two to three months to maintain its health.
- Cleaning: Keep the battery terminals clean and free from corrosion. Use a dry cloth to wipe the battery case.
- Water and Dust Resistance: The battery has an IP65 rating, indicating protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. However, avoid submerging the battery in water.
6. Troubleshooting
The built-in Battery Management System (BMS) provides comprehensive protection against various issues. If the battery is not functioning as expected, check the following:
- No Power Output: Check terminal connections for looseness or corrosion. Verify the battery's state of charge via Bluetooth or a voltmeter. The BMS may have triggered a protection mode.
- Not Charging: Ensure the charger is compatible with LiFePO4 batteries and provides the correct voltage (e.g., 14.2V-14.6V for 12.8V batteries). Check for low-temperature cut-off (charging stops below 0°C/32°F).
- BMS Protection Triggers: The BMS protects against:
- High temperature protection
- Over-discharge protection
- Over-current protection
- Over-load protection
- Low temperature protection
- Short circuit protection
- Equalization (cell balancing)
- Over-charge protection
- If a protection mode is triggered, disconnect the load/charger, allow the battery to rest, and address the underlying cause (e.g., extreme temperature, excessive load).

8. User Tips
- Charging Voltage: Always ensure your charger provides the correct voltage for LiFePO4 batteries (e.g., 14.2V-14.6V for 12.8V batteries) to prevent damage and ensure optimal charging.
- Parallel/Series Setup: When connecting multiple batteries, verify that all batteries are at a similar state of charge before making connections to prevent current imbalances.
- Long-Term Storage: For optimal battery health during long periods of inactivity, periodically charge and discharge the battery every 2-3 months.
- BMS Functionality: The integrated BMS is designed to protect your battery. If the battery unexpectedly stops working, check for triggered protection modes (e.g., over-discharge, low temperature) before assuming a fault.
