4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the Ulanzi L3 video light.
2. Connect the provided 0.5m Type-C charging cable to the port.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V/1A USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, computer USB port).
4. The OLED display will indicate the charging status. A full charge provides approximately 60 minutes of use at 100% brightness.

4.2 Mounting the Light

The Ulanzi L3 offers multiple mounting options:

• Cold Shoe Mount: Slide the light onto a camera's cold shoe or a compatible bracket.
• 1/4" Thread: Use the 1/4" screw hole at the bottom to attach the light to tripods, light stands, or other accessories.
• Magnetic Attachment: The back of the light is magnetic, allowing it to be attached to metal surfaces for quick and flexible positioning.

4.3 Attaching Accessories

• Snoot: Attach the snoot to create a focused beam of light. Note: The snoot is fixed-focus and recommended for projecting over 2 meters for optimal results.
• Barndoor: Use the barndoor to shape and control the light spread, preventing spill onto unwanted areas.
• Diffusion Dome: Attach the diffusion dome to soften the light and reduce harsh shadows.
• Gobos: Insert one of the six gobos into the snoot to project various patterns (e.g., line, circle, heart, leaf, stripes, window) onto your subject or background.

5. Operating Instructions
