5. Initial Setup
5.1 Powering the Unit
The PX-680BT can be powered by AC power or DC batteries.
- AC Power: Connect the supplied AC power cable to the AC input on the unit and plug it into a standard 220V/50Hz wall outlet.
- DC Battery Power: Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the unit. Insert four UM-1 (D-size) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
5.2 Antenna Adjustment
For optimal radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. Adjust its position and direction to achieve the best signal.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Radio Operation
- Set the FUNCTION switch to RADIO.
- Set the BAND switch to your desired band (AM, FM, or SW).
- Rotate the Tuning Knob to search for radio stations. The frequency will be displayed on the Radio Dial.
- Adjust the antenna for best reception.
6.2 Cassette Player/Recorder Operation
- Set the FUNCTION switch to TAPE/OFF.
- Press the STOP/EJ button to open the cassette door.
- Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards. Close the cassette door.
- Playback: Press the PLAY button to start playback.
- Recording: To record from the radio, first tune to your desired station. Then, press the REC button (this will also engage PLAY). To record from an external microphone, connect the microphone to the MIC Input, then press REC.
- Fast Forward/Rewind: Press F.F or REW to quickly advance or rewind the tape. Press STOP/EJ to stop.
- Pause: Press the PAUSE button to temporarily stop playback or recording. Press it again to resume.
- Stop/Eject: Press STOP/EJ to stop playback/recording or to eject the tape.
- The unit features AUTO STOP, which automatically stops the tape at the end of playback or recording.
6.3 USB/TF Card Playback
- Set the FUNCTION switch to MP3/BT.
- Insert a USB drive into the USB Port or a TF card into the TF Card Slot. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing MP3 files.
- Use the MP3 Playback Controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track) to manage your music.
6.4 Bluetooth Wireless Connection

- Set the FUNCTION switch to MP3/BT. The unit will enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing light or audible prompt.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
- Search for available devices and select "PX-680BT" (or similar name) to pair.
- Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the PX-680BT.
6.5 Headphone Use
Connect 3.5mm headphones to the Headphone Jack for private listening. The built-in speaker will be muted automatically.
